Now we have folks here questioning was Kishi himself has said and established. LOL talk about delusional.
In this case Kabuto decided to take over control. Do you believe that Kabuto is also controlling all the other Edo's who were fighting in the other battlefields? NO, he can't. In the 3 Kage fight fight Oro was fighting as well, so I doubt that he was controlling what jutsus the 1st and 2nd were using.
Being Nerfed is your opinion, it doesn't take away the fact that Hiruzen beat them both and Oro.
if it was obvious that he was the strongest i would have accepted, and you wouldnt have wasted your time making a thread if it was that apparent, regardless of what was being said. It's not unbelievable that creates someone put their foot into their mouth, and make mistakes, especially if it supports the events of the storyline. The 3rd may be the strongest, but from what we've seen and new updated hype, he's far from it.
What you have done is simply supported a plot statement, that was mentioned durung the time when only one Hokage was relevent and who was made out to be the fairy tale grandfather.
What I'm doing is looking at everything that has been demonstrated and considering the conditions of each other at that time.
I don't know why you're wasting your time man. It seems like people refuse to believe that Kishi may have changed his mind on who he viewed as the strongest hokage and decided to retcon Hiruzen being the strongest hokage.
I never tried to take away the fact that he beat them, but he beat 2 kages who didn't even try their best(manga fact) and didn't use their most powerful jutsu(Tobirama's s/t jutsu and Hashirama's secret scroll and flower world jutsu and possibly other powerful mokuton jutsu).
This is how I see it. You can disagree because everyones entitled to their own opinion.

Now you're saying you think maybe Kishi has changed his mind? Are you not accepting what the writer has said to be truth? Why are you in such denial? It was you who pointed out the Manga > anything I say and 2 people have said Hiruzen is the strongest hokage.
It just seems you vehemently want to reject the idea of Hiruzen being the strongest hokage at all costs.........................
If you guys are so much set on Magaka's words then have a look at thisYou must be registered for see images

Not really. I can use hype from several characters that contradict Hiruzen being the strongest hokage. Jiraiya said Minato was an unparalleled shinobi meaning not even Hiruzen would be his equal, A said Minato was unsurpassable meaning again not even Hiruzen would be above him, Kabuto just stated Hashirama's power was a fairy tale just like the so6p and that would put him above him.
Fact is several characters have hype that place them above Hiruzen. I have nothing against Hiruzen but Kishi very well could've changed his mind on who he views as the strongest hokage and that's very evident by all the hype he's given Minato and Hashirama in part 2. Has he mentioned Hiruzen at all in part 2? Not really.
Another quote that would put Minato above Hiruzen.

But Kishi's official words > anything characters say![]()

lmfao wft?!? did he just say.....I can't lol
Yea and that statement came from a quote that had nothing to do with hype. It seems like you're ignoring the point because you have no counter.
IIRC, all that Jiraiya said was that Minato had the potential to surpass all other ninja in history, not that he did so completely. A said he didn't think anyone could ever surpass him, but that could also imply that Minato was on Hiruzen's level.
The whole Kabuto statement is throwing people off more than it should have. Hiruzen was called a "God" in his youth, which trumps a "fairy tale"/"myth", yet everyone seems to ignore that.
No. Being called the "God of shinobi", the exact nickname that the So6P had places Hiruzen above everyone if we're going on hype. Stated directly by Kishimoto, Hiruzen is the strongest Hokage.
People. Hashirama was insanely strong and his strength was mythical. Kishimoto has simply been expanding on that strength. why in the world some of you are thinking that because it is being expanded in, that overwrites stated facts is beyond me.
