Clearing up some issues about ITACHI...

Why else would he do it that bad to Sasuke and make him witness that clans and his parent's -whom he assumed Sasuke loved more- repeatedly be killed.. you know, the "requirement" for the MS.

Not really in mood to to discuss though.The fanboyism is strong on u XD and we r 5 down 1/3 of the English Total.

I really dnt get why people said Itachi was afraid of Jiraiya so he ran.. First of all,Itachi never intended to kill anyone,no cause a war as he said,he is a good guy jst faking to b bad,he wnt fight Jiraiya cuz of Jiraiya aint a Villain... Also,if he did wanna fight,he also had to rest cuz he used tsuki twice n Amaterasu once.. N itachi aint a chakra monster.. He said his body needed rest... So wats d point of fighting Jiraiya or Gai wen he is infact in their side??... Y'all should use ya brain a bit... N also,his aim was nt to fight anyone nor to abduct naruto as he claimed,according to Wiki,his aim was to let Danzo know dat he was still around so he wudnt hurt sasuke.. So I dnt know wat d fuss is all abt... Am nt saying he will definitely kill Jiraiya,all am sayin is dat claiming dat he ran away is stooping him low.. N we all know he has a reason behind that.. So quit yappin abt Itachi being afraid of J.man... .. AIDS solos both tho

What you're not taking into account is that Itachi is still apart of Akatsuki and made a deal with Obito that he will join Akatsuki if he didn't lay a hand on Konoha so Itachi still have to go after Naruto, 1 life for the village is what he was facing. All Obito said was Itachi only went to Konoha to let Danzo know he's still alive but that does not take away from his actions of attacking Kakashi with Itachi then telling Kisame to kill Kakashi. He still have to keep up his role as a Akatsuki member or the whole village will suffer.

Also Itachi used Tsukuyomi on Sasuke knowing Jiraiya was right there and used Amaterasu to escape Jiraiya's toad stomach so he used those jutsus as excuses for not fighting since it has to be something believable for Kisame to believe it. How does Itachi know what Jiraiya is or isn't? Jiraiya left Konoha before Itachi was born so he would only know what others say about him or want he might sense from Jiraiya (kill intent, power, ect..) so Jiraiya doesn't have any ties to Konoha since he's not duty bound like actual Konoha ninjas and could easy walk away if he wanted.

The databook says they're equal in stats but when you take in the fact that Itachi has a disease and that he in fact died from using Susanoo due to Susanoo side effects which are aching every cell in the body (Sasuke wondered how bad it was for Itachi with his illness), uses both MS eyes so goes blind faster, uses more chakra because of this as well. Obito said Itachi used medicine to prolong his life when he felt the disease eating at his body and he felt his own death approaching

Itachi can't push his body or he'll die, this is a major reason he relies on Genjutsu to end fights fast but Jiraiya has knowledge on breaking genjutsus and have knowledge on Uchihas since he grew up when Uchihas were still around. Amaterasu gets countered with another fire jutsu as Sasuke did which also made Itachi close his eye afterwards due to the strain on his eye or shadow clone or earth jutsus which Jiraiya also had. Susanoo gets sunk with Swamp of the underworld. Tsukuyomi requires close range, eye contact, and Itachi have to close his eye to build up the chakra which gives Jiraiya time to use fire jutsus, shoot his hair needles, use shadow clone and attack from different directions, summon a toad on top of Itachi as he did with Oro's snake.

It's not about favoring one over another, it's about looking at what each can do, their fighting style, personality, chakra reserves, skills, battle experiences, and weaknesses. Itachi's major weaknesses are his illness which is what killed him, his low stamina, blurry vision which would be slightly better than this

since he just used Tsukuyomi and it gets worst when you use the MS and even more when you use MS jutsus.
