Clearing the confusion...

There have been too many threads about the Naruto Manga in the past couple of minutes, so I'd thought I'd try to clear the confusion about what is going on because not many people are understanding it.

The volumes of Naruto Manga that we see online were being released on Wednesdays, give or take a day depending on your timezone. However, these manga episodes were "Early releases". By that I mean the volumes of Naruto are released at different days, one being on Wednesdays and the other volumes on later days.

The Japanese government has now decided to be more strict on the early releases of manga in different areas, and instead of releasing it early they have decided to release it at the proper times. This means that the manga will most likely not be released today, and instead be released at a later date (some people are saying on Monday, Tuesday next week which is about right).

This does not mean that you will have to pay for manga, because so long as scanners exist people will upload the volumes and we will able to enjoy them at new but regular intervals.

Ya if this sticks there will simply be a new release day, probably Monday instead of Wednesday. People will think we missed a manga chapter that respective week, but the truth is we were getting them 5 days early anyway, so we'd just have to get used to a new release day.

I wonder if naruto anime(I don't really care about the other anime shows) will no longer be release on Thursday's or maybe this is just a manga thing

Unlike the manga, the anime is released on public television in Japan, so there's not much of a way for there to be an "early release" because it only gets released in Japan.

Besides, the anime is based off of the manga, so once it's released it's the final version.

That makes sense. Thanks for sharing. That explains why we're able to read it on Wednesdays. It's just that retailers were just putting them on the shelf as soon as they got their boxes it seems. They're supposed to come out on Mondays. The one we're waiting for is scheduled for September 1st. I worked at a video store once, and release dates were a huge deal and there were serious penalties for giving movies out earlier than they were supposed to be released.

here are the official release times/days of all anime that are currently running. It says it to the minute.

This is simply wrong. The chapters that are released on wednesdays are leaked chapters that don't come out anywhere until the next monday, even in Japan. The wednesday releases we usually get come from shonen jump magazines that are scanned early, translated and put on illegal sites like mangapanda
