this is a part from chapter 1 when the main character informs the reader of the past. how is it? is it a good summary.
You see, Charm was my teammate as well as my friend. We both studied the art of the sword under Master Wu. Master Wu was our sensi. He was chosen to train us secretly with the monks from the Flame Temples. I know, you don’t understand a thing. I’ll tell you actually what the monks told us. Many, many (yeah, this long), many years ago the world was encountered with a great evil in the form of a man. His name was Yan. Yan and his army was taking over the world with brutal force. Taking nations and rights aways from the people. There’ were 5 nations in all. They were called the Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, and Earth Nations. Each nation resembled the type of swordsmen in that nation. Yan was close to achieving his goal until 3 legendary swordsmen with special abilities went against his power and were able to defeat him and his army. They returned love and goodness back into into the world. Due to the divisions of the Nations from this short war they decided to combine all the 5 Nations into one. Thus creating The United Nations .
After creating the United Nations and new balance,1 of the 3 swordsmen noticed that all the worlds evil did not vanish with Yan. It was born inside men kind in the form of hatred, greed, and lust for power. And if fomented it could become a threat again. So they warned the United Nations of this new evil presence and to seek them in their youth whenever the time came. Without knowing what this meant the United Nations continued on with their new lives. Even though things still looked good after the deaths of the three swordsmen greed, land, wealth, and power divided the United Nations which caused them to split back into Elemental Nations. But one nation, the Lighten Nation, couldn’t just have their own land. Instead they pillaged other Nations for gold, more land, and power. And as their power grew the numbers who feared them did too. To this day they are longing to have all the Nations under their control. With only the Fire and Earth Nation to go there mission was near completion. So the monks of the Fire Temple gathered and began to question what the 3 legendary swordsmen meant by “seek them in their youth” many years ago. Only until Master Wu came to the answer that it would most liking mean the 3 swordsmen were reincarnated into the new youth or children of the generation. With this as their only idea the search began. The monks traveled around the world in search for the new children. Looking for similarities, they found a connection between Charm, Victoria, and I. When the Lightning Emperor found out about this plan he immediately sought out the 3 legendary swords that the greats used to fight the evil.
Those three swords were scattered across the globe in the deepest and dangerous locations on Earth. He also sent his army out for us too. Little did he know that the search for the swords were done years ago, when the previous fire monks noticed the return of evil has started. With the swords and the 3 reincarnation of the greats “we” were ready to start our training. The monks took us to a hidden area where Master Wu would train us in the Fire Nation. And this is where the new chapter is written, or so says the monks.
