I don't think they intended it to be racist to be honest, I think they likely thought that a cowardly Mr. T was just funny, he has been parodied many times.

If I saw this on TV I wouldn't consider it racist, I likely wouldn't even notice it but saying that, I did notice that he was the ONLY black barbarian, that did catch my eye.

I just can't escape this shit. Come on here it's a bunch of race talk, in real life I gotta almost prove myself to people to not have them see me as more than a black person. People talking down or not liking things that are even associated with a race that annoys them.

The majority of the world is shallow. Move past race, pointing out racists things and saying racists things are like wind blowing a wildfire through acres of forest. And it will never die down.
