Clarifying Toneri's power

I have seen threads about Toneri being planet level which is false. Those having watched the movie can make an estimation. When the beam passed close to Kurama, it was about Kurama's size in width. That makes the beam around 200 m at most in width and 5000 km in length because the moon is 4000 km. I took the length of the beam to be roughly 5000 km because it is longer than the length of the moon and this value makes it easier for me to calculate. The moon of NV is normal size as was shown when it was compared to Earth in the movie. All the numbers are estimation and can be taken as the lower/upper limit. By calculation, pi x 0.1 x 0.1 where 100 m is the radius of the beam, you get the circular area destroyed by the beam. To get the volume of the beam, you multiply this result by 500.

Result=About 125.6 cubic km of destruction. Cubic root of this value gives you 5 km. If the energy used to create the beam was instead used to create a bijuu bomb, the destruction would created a crater of 5 km in diameter. The value ranges from 2-5 km. It is nowhere close to the level destruction of 2nd form Juubi.

This puts Toneri tiers below juubi jins, the reason why KCSM Naruto was able to defeat him.

That's fine. But your mistake screws up the rest of your calculation does it not?

Already corrected that. It made the initial value 2 times smaller. My point that Toneri is tiers below Juubi jins still stands.

Its better to avoid calcs if you don't know physics well. U_U
You forgot to incorporate GBE (Gravitational binding energy) in that calc. The GBE of that moon is equal to earth due to the gravity of the moon being the same as the earth's gravity as stated in the light novel. So even after being calc'ed it comes close to moon level (11 Ytons of TNT if I remember correctly).

Also its not this attack which makes him planet level. It was the attack Toneri was going to use at the end after absorbing all of Naruto's chakra, in the shape of a ball with which he said that he will destroy the earth with it. But unfortunately he started absorbing too much of the sun's energy and lost control.

So its up to you whether you believe it or not, although I don't really care either way.
