I think RSM and Rikudo Genjutsu are completely two different powers .RSM is a higher level of SM but still works by gathering NE (according to DB) ,while Rikudo senjutsu is the cloak with 8 magatamas and Rinnegan pattern .only jiubi/9 biju hosts can manifest Rikudo Genjutsu cloak while i am not sure about the requirements of RSM .

Thats RSM however only with Kurama's chakra not the other bijuu/Juubi chakra. Basically this but in Kurama chakra mode.

Exactly, RSM the ultimate sage mode. Rikudou Senjutsu is the Juubi's Chakra/Power. People are so confused because they think RSM automatically = Rikudou Senjutsu aka Juubi Chakra

i don't think sage mode is required at all. Rikudou senjutsu/rsm seems to be the combination of all of the bijuu's chakras in one body, and that's it, and that hagoromo simply gave naruto the ability to create gudoudamas without the juubi.

Sasuke claimed that hagoromo gave naruto the gudoudamas and him amenotejikara.

So from that, it seems plausible that kabuto healing sasuke with hashi's cells awakened the rinnegan, and obito giving naruto the bijuu's chakra awakened rsm, but hagoromo upped their abilities by increasing those powers with ameno and gudoudamas respectively.

Yeah, people often confuse RSM as Rikudou Senjutsu, Rikudou Senjutsu is Juubi chakra. RSM is most likely Kurama chakra + Rikudou Chakra. That would explain Naruto's eyes in RSM and Ashura's kurama like avatar.

Sure in the long run if that was the case, Sasuke would appear stronger in the long run. Though if by chance, a continuation happened (like now), they would remain equals till the end.

Which in turn would backfire the whole 'I lost power argument', and would make them look silly.

This is an interesting thread with a lot of well constructed arguments, and it's definitely a subject I think about often. Obviously, the answer to this question is highly subjective, and I don't believe there is a single right answer. I like reading everyone's opinion on the matter, though, and I hope this discussion goes on.

Of course there is a single right answer.
That is what defines the right answer.
He pointed out actual facts.Proof in the pages themselves.
