[Clarification] Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi have never been requirements for Susanoo!

Before you start whining - it's not another thread about Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi being requirements for any Susanoo out there, since we already know that.

So basically, this topic has been discusses for years now. People have been claiming that Kishimoto contradicted his own words in Databook, where he stated that both Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi mastery were required to awaken Susanoo.

Actually this is NOT true! Facts are:

1. Mangekyo Sharingan in both eyes is required to awaken Susanoo.
2. Mastery over Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi is required to awaken a specific version of Susanoo.​

You may ask - "What the hell is he talking about?". Well, where do you think Itachi got his spiritual weapons from? It's not like he used to travel the world and search for it. Most likely he hadn't even known about them before he got them. Also, how could he search for something that doesn't even have physical form? Well, the answer is simple - the specific version of Susanoo I was talking about (that requires both Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi to be awakened) is Susanoo wielding Yata Mirror and Totsuka Blade! Here's the proof:

1. Kishi stating himself that Mangekyo Sharingan is needed for Susanoo to be awakened.

2. Proof that Yata Mirror and Totsuka Blade are weapons that belong to Susanoo that are awakened with both Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. The whole paragraph is about Susanoo wielding a shield and a sword - and what is more interesting - Yata and Totsuka are refered as such throughout the rest of the Databook.

So after all, it looks as if it was only a misconception with requirements for Susanoo and that would also explain Yata and Totsuka in Itachi's arsenal.

Idk man. I read the thread but it still seems more likely kishi just changed his mind. Itachi had the only susanoo known at the time that DB came out, and i dont think yata and totsuka simply came with the susanoo. It seens a little strange how itachi could have found spiritual weapons, but its not like kishi really has to explain how he got them

But yea i fully agree tsukyomi and Ameratsu are not required for Susanoo(has been obvious forever but some still argued against it).

i did read it. Totsuka and yata mirror never came with itachi's susanoo,they are sacred weapons that itachi found,orochinaru was looking for it too. And they have physical forms otherwise susanoo wouldnt be able to hold it and it wouldnt slash orochimaru's snake form. Also susanoo is just a manifestation of the user's chakra,thus different people will have different susanoos depending on their chakra type.

Besides, I've always considered that the Databook was talkimg specifically about Itachi's Susanoo (since that stuff is written on his character).Upon awakening Amaterasu and Tsukyomi (Double MS), another power (Susanoo) took root into Itachi's eyes.

I also believe that both eyes are needed to awaken Susanoo but only Uchiha chakra is necessary to be able to use it afterwards. Perhaps not the Perfect version though as Blind Madara used a legged version instead of PS. Although this is just speculation though.

susanoo is a physical being,yet it wields the blade,orochimaru is physical,yet he searched for the blade. Clearly it takes physical form. When orochimaru was stabbed,he didnt feel any different,until he started to seal. It is even said to be a variant of the kusanagi which is physical.
Kishsi retconns the databooks sometimes,it happens.

Just because Orochimaru searched for it doesn't mean he could even find it even if Itachi didn't have it. There weren't books about these legendary items or anything confirmed. They existed only in legends so Orochimaru might've not even known about them being spiritual.
