Clannad and after story

i just wanted to ask if i should continue watching this anime

i currently finished episode 9 and it is still very boring to me (i usally hate slice of life anime) and wanted to ask if i should dropp it

Ussualy i would have stoped after like 4 or 5 episodes if i had not enjoyed it but this anime supposedly is absolutly amazing and should get much better

i know it is technically not bad but i don´t really like highschool or slice of storys so i wanted to ask if it gets much better and emotional or if from the episodes i have watched it is clear that it is not my cup of tea and stays the way it is

i know what you mean i also watch like 4 or 5 episodes before i dropp something (i think it´s really stupid if you stop after just 1 or 2 because it is no indication of were most shows go) but is rated so high and so many people love it and should even be cool to someone who doesn´t like slice of life

i just wanted to watch something sad and emotionally investing but i practically forced myself through the episodes and didn´t find it funny or sad in the least

Dude finish it. Every last stories of one of the charaxters frm that show would bring goose bumps to u dude. After you finish it. Watch angel beats. Then elfen lied. Boom<".)

Keep trying... After Story is where it really picks up. If by the end you didn't like both then slice of life is just not for you.

Clannad is pretty much the same as any other slice of life anime, but Clannad After Story is totally worth watching. If your looking for a sad and emotional anime this is it.

Really? Not even the comedy got to ya? Personally, I found that to be more than enough to tide me over until the real hardcore drama comes into it. Believe me, it's definitely a worthwhile watch if you just hang in there. I swear, not even Grave of the Fireflies brought me as close to tears as After Story did, and no anime has made me laugh as hard as the first season.

its just there are just so many side arcs that are made just to make you get attached to the characters.

It's worth finishing it.Most of slice of life anime are boring at the beginning but as far as story progress 75% of time they get better.Both parts are emotional,especially Clannad AS,they go deep into the plot and ma characters ,although animation even for that time is quite average.
At least finish Clannad.If after the end of the anime it won't change your mind ,starting AS won't make sense because AS is even more heavier and stretched than the 1st part.
