I see where you're coming from but I think you have it backwards. Perhaps their spirits have an affinity to certain bodies they become reincarnated to. Ashura will bind to strong Yang and Indra will bond to strong Yin.

Perhaps Ashura and Indra were sure to be born into bodies that matched their spirit, Senju/Uzumaki having the strongest Yang (Life force energy) and Uchiha having the strongest Yin (Spiritual/mind energies). It only makes sense to have this reincarnation.

If he got the power from ashura he wouldnt need kurama. I agree ashura is why his bm is like that but his power is not becuz of ashura chakra. Neither is sasuke's. Sasuke is strong because of his keikie genkai. He has sharingan becuz of the Uchiha clan.
