Could we extend the time period where the edit button is available to like a month or more instead of a week?

Only the section where we make threads for our approved customs. Most people section it off from elements (etc.. Katon/Raiton/Futon/Doton/Suiton) and post their approved customs according to their element. Then as most of us know that it takes a while to get a CJ to get approved and most of the time it takes atleast 2 trys. So why not extend it to a month or more, only for that section so we can edit in the CJ's.... This would cut down on people making new threads for it(Thus cutting down on clutterness) and probably less mod work for the staff..

from posts, it said that it was discussed already, then about just the ability to delete a post so that we can redo a section of the CJ's??

Sounds like a good idea. I hate having a messy CJ thread, with like 4 posts having old techniques that dont include newer ones youve created/learned.

This suggestion was made like a week or two back.
Anyways the moderators and admins are discussing it already, this is what I heard from a moderator.
One problem would be people abusing it.

The thing is that you can already do this in the fanfiction section. So it shouldn't be a problem, we now have to post links to recently approved cj's and learned cj's so now would be the perfect time to do it since no one can go back and edit old techniques...because they're old threads mainly are gone (For most of the "Active" RP'ers anyways).

Yeah, I agree. I can see a person totally changing their custom or doing little changes.

Not what I was thinking about, but true...
What I was referring to as abuse, would be people adding a new cusotm to one of their old post on their CJ thread, thus by passing a rule.
The rule is something along these lines.
"If you don't have a Custom Jutsu on your CJ thread before a battle starts, any new CJ aren't allowed to be used in that battle."
This could be abused, as someone could easily go towards of of their first few post on the CJ Thread, and edit it adding the new CJ, making it look like the user had that CJ on his thread for a while.

But once you edit it gets time stamped....if not done immediatly after the original post.

Not to mention you have to train for new cj's as well as if you get a new cj approved, it won't look righthaving a cj approved in October of last year when it's april of this year. I'm really failing to see how this could be abused.
