You probably already know enough about Sound to fully understand the workings of this technique. When you snap your fingers together, you're producing a sound that is enhanced by your Ototon chakra. The sound wave propagates through the entire surrounding area, and being laced with your chakra, it has the quality of being able to 'excite' water - Or more specifically, disturb the bubbles in water as it passes through. You're instigating the process of sonoluminescence, therefore evaporating the water pretty much immediately. Considering the fact that you're super-heating and evaporating water with a single snap of your fingers, you can imagine how scalding hot the water will become in such a brief amount of time, and how much damage you could do to someone as a result. Because sound travels at, well, the speed of sound, if the opponent happens to be soaked in water the moment you use this technique - I'm sure you understand what would happen to them .-.

This technique isn't limited to being used on water - It can be used to affect any liquid medium. Additionally, the technique can be used defensively to avoid being hit by a water based attack that may otherwise be unavoidable. The downside to this technique is that, if you've created a water source on the battlefield, or are in some way making use of the water, it'll evaporate along with all other water present on the battlefield.

The sound cannot travel through solid, non-liquid mediums, so if there's some kind of obstacle in between yourself and the water - You won't be able to affect it. The technique was designed this way to avoid the user being able to evaporate the water within someone's body. Lastly, even if both you and your opponent are soaked in water (for example, during the rain) because the sound wave travels away from you - your body being the epicenter - you yourself cannot be affected or injured by this technique; However, the same cannot be said for any of your allies :x This isn't really the most 'team friendly' jutsu. I may eventually update the technique to make it so that you can choose who and what you want to affect rather than leaving none exempt.

Description: The user will snap his fingers and release an omnidirectional sound wave. The sound wave has a unique quality in that it disturbs bubbles in water on contact, causing a reaction that generates ample amounts of heat through the process of sonoluminescence. Through this process, any body of water, including bodies of mist, directly exposed to this sound wave will almost instantly evaporate; If the opponent is at the time in contact with water, this technique can deal excessive scalding damage. If their body itself is comprised of water – Water Substitution, Liquification, etc – Than the damage would be even more deadly, killing them by literally evaporating their body away. The sound however, cannot directly effect the liquid within a person's body.

*Can only be used twice per battle.
*The sound wave is ineffective against anything but water or other liquid elements.
*In the case of any present inert sources of water – that the opponent is not in contact with – it will still be evaporated, but the opponent will not take any damage; It would only serve as a make-shift form of defense instead.
*The user cannot utilize Ototon in the following two turns.

My jutsu is similar but extremely different at the same time. Your jutsu only affects liquids, whereas mine has the sole purpose of destroying solids. The solids can be of any kind (HA, KGs, CEs etc), and once you want to destroy them you release chakra into your surrounding and use your sound mastery to hear the frequency at which the solid object is vibrating it, allowing you to mimic it.

Now, I tried to 'click' my fingers to release the frequency and cause the object to smash, but it was too similar to something which Scorps has for his CE, so you have to release the sound wave by clapping. As the jutsu says, it'd be useless against anything energy based, so just stick to using it on solids. Erm, I think that's all, any questions?

Description: A specific sound jutsu which involves the user recognizing the resonant frequency of any solids brought before him by releasing his chakra into his surroundings and using his/her sound mastery to hear the frequency at which the objects in that area are vibrating at. After gathering that data, the user would then clap his hands producing a sound which vibrates at the same frequency as the object allowing the user to cause it to smash into thousands of pieces almost instantly. This jutsu would be able to destroy any and every solids, but would be useless against anything energy based and/or intangible (Wind, Fire, Lightning etc).
Note: Can only be used twice
Note: Can only be taught by Erzo
Note: No other sound jutsu for the same and in the next 2 turns.
Note: Can't be used on humans or any other living beings.
Note: User cannot do any harm to an opponent.

Just one question - When you test the vibrating frequencies of surrounding objects before actually executing the technique, would the opponent be at all aware of what you were doing?

No, not unless they have doujutsu. And even if they do, they'd see chakra being released into their surroundings, they wouldn't know what type of chakra or it's purpose.
