[Chuunin Exams] Elimination: Kēji vs Leathercandle

Staying in character is your way to win. It's an RP tournament after all, it's up to you how you wish to restrict yourself but you read the main rules when you entered.

Much like the original Chuunin exams, everything is a surprise and with that, it includes what each ninja can use. All of you are strangers, none of you know the others kgs or abilities. You are strangers, so none of this "knowing you're an uchiha i look at your chin". In this round atleast.

Situation: It's the Ninja world chuunin exams and people have come from all over the world for this Amazing event. The chuunin exams and we've all been training for it. Due to the high number of people taking part, Jiraiya decided it was best to have a knockout round to kick things off. So all students were gathered in the stadium with only the other participants watching. Each match up was chosen randomly and would take part in the chuunin arena where Naruto fought Neji. But what everyone needed to remember, was firstly everyone could see their skills, so what they used to win in this round could be known to all in the next round. Secondly, the chuunin exams some times went on for days, how much time would they have to rest to replenish their chakra?

Keji walks into the stadium and notices all of the other participants staring at him. Thinking to himself "I always wondered if I would ever visit my birth place. Now look here I am." Keji closes his eyes and begins taking deep breaths as to calm his nerves. Envisions his mom, dad, and old friends, Hope I make you guys proud, says Keji as he opens his eyes and awaits his opponent to walk onto the field.

For Pervy: I make reference to a screen that shows the randomization process and the portraits of the competitors, as that is what happened in the anime/manga. If that isn't in this Chuunin exam, just ignore talk about that.

was leaning over one of the railings high above the battlefield in the mix of all of the other combatants. The majority of their eyes were glued on the screen which was randomizing the contestants of this round. As the screen continued to flash pictures, scrolling through the giant list, Shisui remembered the surprising news of the first round.
...Single elimination... huh.
Suddenly, the two portraits and sets of names came to a halt, revealing that he himself would be participating in round one. Pushing himself off the railing at allow him to stand up straight, Shisui looked around a bit to see if anyone else was moving, signaling to him that they could be his opponent. He didn't spend much time searching, and made his way to the staircase that lead to the battlefield. Walking out of the tunnel and onto the battleground, Shisui had to shield his eyes momentarily from the sun before they adjusted to the light. Looking before him, he spotted his opponent. Shisui walked towards his opponent, stopping approximately mid range away from him. As he walked towards him, he reached his hands behind his head, and pulled on the ends of his headband's knot to tighten it.

Before we start, could we trade names? This is more than a mere fight, but a tradition and contest, so I feel, I don't know, that we should become acquainted first? Hahaha! Shisui smiled as he said the last part.

After Kēji revealed his name, he asked Shisui a funny question. He asked him to forfeit the match. Shisui chuckled at the question, not aggressively, or to make Kēji feel bad, but because he thought it was actually a joke. With a big grin Shisui said to Kēji,
Sorry, Kēji, but I can't just forfeit the fight! You'll have to earn this victory. Also, my name's Shisui -
He thought for a moment whether he should reveal his clan's name or not, but he decided that he might as well, due to the fact that he would be using his Sharingan during this battle.

As he spoke the last word, Shisui activated his Sharingan. Two black tomoes sat just around each pupil, showing that he had not quite yet mastered the clan's trademark ability.

Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.

Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

Shisui immediately broke into a sprint towards Kēji, but on his first step towards him he had transferred katon chakra through his foot into the ground and beneath his opponent. Without warning, three pillars of fire burst from the earth below Kēji, burning him intensely if he were to be caught in them. They were spaced out evenly in a triangle, three inches apart from one another, leaving no space in the middle of them due to each pillar's thickness.

Continuing his run towards Kēji, Shisui gathered raiton chakra in both of his hands and brought them close to one another. Lightning crackled between them as a whip took shape. Grabbing the whip with his left hand, Shisui skillfully sent the end of it at his opponent in an attempt to wrap around him and shock him.

Chakra: 1200 - 30 (Sharingan activation) - 30 (fire technique) - 20 (lightning technique) - 10 (to keep the Sharingan active) = 1110

As Shisui responded with a sigh and smiles Guess it can't be... before he could finish his sentence he heard the name Uchiha. Immediate looking up he notices the sharingan and diverts his eyes down to Shisui's torso while back spewing a mist from his mouth. Before the mist could fully form Shisui charges as he does three pillars of flame begin to emerge from the ground. As the begin burning Keji's pants and legs, he reacts by launching his himself backwards with an earth pillar limiting the burns to his lower legs. Mist fully formed by now Keji weaves six hand seals causing storm clouds to form and pour down rain onto the battlefield. You know that freaking hurt Shisui. Keji begins to bandage his wounds as quickly as possible.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu

Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique

When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

As Shisui broke into a sprint in the direction of Kēji, he saw that he was spewing mist from his mouth. It was of no matter, as Shisui could still see through the mist because it was still thin (due to it being created and not fully finished while he was looking at his opponent) that his katon technique had somewhat worked. Only a moment after the fire had begun to rise, Kēji had created a small pillar of earth to carry him away.
Close. I need a little bit more... Also this mist might become a problem - a wind technique should do the trick... Alright, let's do this.
As Kēji sailed through the air, Shisui, who was still running at him formed the "ram" hand seal and gathered fuuton chakra in his lungs. Shisui inhaled, then exhaled a giant blast of wind which screamed towards its target: Kēji. As it traveled towards Shisui's opponent, it effectively caused the mist to disperse. If the wind were to hit Kēji, it would force him towards the arena's high walls, crushing him.

I wonder if this would work?
Still running at Kēji to keep out of long range , Shisui formed a single hand seal and sent chakra into his brain, placing him in a genjutsu. In it, feathers would begin to fall all around him and slowly put him to sleep. Shisui's thought process was that though possible, it would be difficult to deal with the incoming wind technique and the genjutsu that was slowly putting him to sleep.

If this ends up crushing you, I'll personally see to it that you get to the hospital room. Shisui said this under his breath, not in an antagonistic or superior-acting way whatsoever, he actually meant that.

Keji places his hand on his earthen pillar causing multiple rock walls to form shattering his own pillar in the process. As he lands behind the wall feathers start to appear around him and he suddenly became drowsy. Keji looks to the sky to see no bird in sight well at least not flying around at that moment. Keji smiles and lets out a small laugh, Genjutsu. Hide. Keji's sword shifts into a hidden blade strapped to his right wrist under his hoodie. Stabbing himself in the leg Keji breaks free of the genjutsu but instead of moving he lays down pretending to sleep.

Description: Like the parent technique, it creates a reinforced wall of earth to be used as a defensive mechanism. However, the technique works in a different manner. Using a pre-existing source of earth, it allows the user to create multiple walls of earth, further fortifying their defense instead of forming a single wall, by slamming his hands on the ground.

After Shisui had placed his opponent into a genjutsu (still running towards him), he peered at Kēji with his sharingan to see if he was truly caught in his genjutsu. Looking at Kēji, Shisui instantly knew that he had escaped it, but he also noticed some blood around him. He knew that he had escaped it because his chakra flow did not look like one that was trapped in a genjutsu.
So he stabbed himself to escape the genjutsu.
Not wanting to show Kēji that he knew he was bluffing, Shisui slowed his pace, but as he stepped on the ground he channeled katon chakra into it, then channeled that chakra beneath his opponent. In an effort to pretend that he was going to finish the fight in another way, he produced a kunai and held it in a reverse grip, slowly making his way closer to Kēji. By that time, three pillars of fire emerged from beneath Kēji, lying on the ground. The center of each pillar was spaced out a foot from one another in a triangle, but were thick enough that they left no space in the middle of the three or between them.

(This bit of RP below does not necessarily mean that you lost, as I am not saying I don't think you can get out of this, so it's not meant to be offensive)
Damn, I wish this could have been more peaceful. I want to go over and help him with his wounds, but-
Shisui looked around at the crowd behind Kēji briefly, and clenched his teeth.
It doesn't matter what they think, I have to do this!
Shisui put away the kunai and called out to the crowd,
Does anyone know Medical Ninjutsu or Water release out there? If this fight is over, he needs help!

Feeling the heat on the ground as the pillars began to rise up Keji creates water that gushes from underneath him putting out the flames. Before the jutsu is completed Keji released it and rose to his feet. Those eyes see many things I see, says Keji as he creates a single clone while removing his now slightly burnt and damp hoodie. Keji raises his hand into the air I need to defend myself better. A massive blade appears in Keji's arm and drops to his shoulder with a chain wrapped around his right arm. As the sword appears the clone charges towards Shisui.

As Shisui was creeping toward Kēji, kunai in hand, he saw water pour out from beneath his opponent. Instantly, Shisui broke into a mad dash towards Kēji as he began to stand up. Closing the gap, Shisui kicked some of the water from the ground into Kēji's face and threw the kunai at his wound located on his right leg (where Kēji had stabbed himself to escape the genjutsu) once he had entered short range.
I can exploit the wound.
Shisui jumped into the air with his left leg sticking out aimed at Kēji's face. As he approached Kēji, Shisui focused katon chakra in his left leg, causing it to become clad in a layer of flames.
I underestimated you, Kēji. That was a skillful way to evade the fire pillar technique!

After kicking Kēji in the face, he sprung off of it to send him back a few meters, where he would draw his tantō off of his back with his right hand and rush at his opponent once more. Shisui would slash Kēji horizontally from his own left to right across his chest, then from right to left across his left thigh. To finish off his sequence of strikes, he would diagonally slash Kēji from the right side of his waist to his left shoulder.

As Keji began to stand he heard a splash as water hit his face, soon after that a kunai was logged into his already open wound causing him great pain, Ahhhhhhh he screams as he falls back to a knee. Keji looks up to see Shisui's flaming leg a foot from his face, turning his head as to protect his eyes and nose the blow lands. As it lands Keji channels chakra into Shisui causing him to weigh 15k Shisui would fall to the ground unable to move. With minor burns to the left side of his face, Keji would stand, cut a piece of his wet hoodie off and wrap his burns to cool them. Thanks for the compliment, says Keji as he attempts to smile but can't due to the burns.

Keji then takes a few steps back and weaves two hand seals opening a portal above Shisui and dropping mud covering him from the neck down. Keji the weaves a single seal causing four pillars to form closely around Shisui and begin to shock him while hardening the mud trapping him on the ground.

Keji fall backwards and stares at the sky, I knew I shouldn't have signed up for this. Three burns, stabbed twice, and I think a broken dislocated jaw. Definitely, should've stayed home today. I need a medic, says Keji as he begins to close his eyes.

Thanks for those little notes to me guys, nice to see you could come to an agreement to make the fight a bit more fun that way.

So things kicking off:

First move - LC, you kick things off, shisui, nice to see him in the RP. You made a strong move, you're an uchiha with 2t so you've used that fire and lightning, all pretty much signature traits of the Uchiha, more so fire, but with sasuke being one of the only uchiha we saw i always thinking lightning too. It was a bit of a heavy start for the first round but overall a strong move. You have your sharingan active to track and percieve, flame pillars to make it so he can't just send the fire back and you then it's nice to see you running towards him using the lightning whip not just using a large blast attack like most would. Now Keji, you start off with the mist, this to me is pushing the timeframe a bit too much. I know he activated his sharingan, but using the mist an the pillar before the flames do severe damage is a bit much to me. Also you're trying to make an earth pillar to shoot you up from the ground, as the earth pillar would try to raise, it would be instantly destroyed by the A rank fire from under you, not giving it sufficient strength to push you out of the way. Now i saw you're part of the Hyuuga clan but don't really have any training which is a shame. A rotation could of been a nice counter here. You did mention you took some damage from the flames, not many would, so i'll give you credit on that.

Second move - LC, you go for the large scale wind jutsu. Fits as Shisui is a wind user but he's a genius and you could protray that a bit better. A large scale blast as such like that doesn't fit such an intelegent ninja and you could of got away with a smaller scaled jutsu to push the mist away. But you did keep the preasure on, get rid of the mist and are in control using what your bio can use. The use of gen was a nice touch to put him to sleep. But you could of done this with the mist still active so he couldn't see the feathers. So really doing your two jutsu the other way around could be more effective. Keji, you're on the defensive again, you used earth your speciliality but once again you only defended, and stabbing your leg isn't always enough to break and A rank gen (i'll need to recheck the rules for that one) but it works as it's kind of a sleep based gen. Nice saying their is no bird as a way to recognise it, but then it could just be a ninjutsu and you stabbed your leg for no reason O_<

Keji, you took the hit like a champ though i know you could counter it without taking the hit. Though i do like to see such realism in a fight. Adding the weight when you take the hit was pretty smart though.

You both got better as the fight went on, but from what i've seen LC was more in control, and brought out his characters abilities more and was the dominant one in this fight. But i'm sure Keji would of done better if he had more training such as his Hyuuga techs.

Also you're trying to make an earth pillar to shoot you up from the ground, as the earth pillar would try to raise, it would be instantly destroyed by the A rank fire from under you, not giving it sufficient strength to push you out of the way. Now i saw you're part of the Hyuuga clan but don't really have any training which is a shame. A rotation could of been a nice counter here. Lol when I used the water tech I knew I messed up xD. It was a fun fight and I enjoyed it hopefully next time I'll be able to use Hyuga tech *cough*House/Priest*cough*. Also learned a lot thanks for the experience ^^

Dude that was a great fight, fun from the start to end. I can't wait to fight you again when you have some Hyuuga techniques under your belt!
