The hypothetical preliminaries is instead to all together battle a sensei. Arena is the Chunnin Preliminary Stage.

Lee is allowed 3 gates. Gaara and Naruto cannot undergo transformation. All characters have as much intel as they would realistically have by the Chunnin exam arc.

Each sensei has information on this years combatants and are given a day of prep time and strategy forming. It will be 20 on 1. (Kabuto obviously is not included)

Gaara got beat by a Sannin level summon. Naruto was also there.

Asuma hasn't shown much in Pt1 to make me think he'll actually defeat some let alone all, same with Baki.
Kurenai wouldn't beat them all.

Based on what? Pt1 Naruto in base form was holding his own against Kabuto when he hit him with the Rasengan doing serious damage to him. That version of Naruto can never stand a chance against Kakashi no matter what.

Based on Kishimoto going out of his way to state it as fact. It's mentioned 3 times in the same arc from different characters that Kabuto is a ninja as strong as Kakashi. Oro, Jiraiya and Naruto all state this.

Back in Part 1, Masashi made sure to keep the power levels unambiguous and would often state it outright as a writer.
When the author has interjected it into the dialogue so forcibly, it's clear he's trying to tell the audience something.

Sakura and Shikamaru are the brains. Sakura seems to have intel on everyone in the leaf, except the Hyugga at that point. But Tenten did so...Kakashi doens't know of Sakura's abilities, as he was suprised when she was able to break free of genjutsu easily, so that one wild card, however she doenst have much, maybe she can trigger Sasuke's curse mark. All of them pretty much bltiz Neji and he was kinda the fastest on, at that point.
The Sensei win because Sakura isn't a medic and is nerfed.
