Much like the original Chuunin exams, everything is a surprise and with that, it includes what each ninja can use. All of you are strangers, none of you know the others kgs or abilities. You are strangers, so none of this "knowing you're an uchiha i look at your chin". In this round atleast.
Situation: It's the Ninja world chuunin exams and people have come from all over the world for this Amazing event. The chuunin exams and we've all been training for it. Due to the high number of people taking part, Jiraiya decided it was best to have a knockout round to kick things off. So all students were gathered in the stadium with only the other participants watching. Each match up was chosen randomly and would take part in the chuunin arena where Naruto fought Neji. But what everyone needed to remember, was firstly everyone could see their skills, so what they used to win in this round could be known to all in the next round. Secondly, the chuunin exams some times went on for days, how much time would they have to rest to replenish their chakra?​

Nagato looked into the crowd of people, and shinobi who weren't participating. A stone-cold expression was on his face as the people in the crowd cheered. Almost immediately, and to him unnaturally, a smile spread on his face, his eyes closed, and he waved back. They were excited for what was to be a grand spectacle of young Shinobi making their way into the higher echelons of the shinobi world, to display their skills and aptitude to prove they can shoulder the responsibility and abilities that come with being an official Chunin. For Nagato, it was completely different.

He felt a deep resentment bubble into the pit of his stomach. "To think," he thought to himself, the bitter tone burning through his inner monologue juxtaposing with his outer, cheery demeanor, "the children here, so free and safe. And pitted against one another. It's like a mockery of what we've been through in the Rain. These people, pit their children against each other...for sport...while we're forced to do it...for survival." So then, if these people wanted a spectacle, he'd give them one. He'd give them a taste of what it was truly like to watch their children fall to the pit of battle, the kind this very village had plagued upon others like a virus through war for their own benefit. He would strip it all away.

With his opponent, Gadreel, in front of him, Nagato kept up the outward facade, smiling warmly at his opponent. "Best of luck. Let's try to make this a good one for the viewers," Nagato says in a light-hearted tone. Immediately after speaking, he begins his course of attack. Using his right hand, Nagato pulls from his pouch three kunai tagged with explosives, holding them by balancing the handles in between his index and middle finger, middle and ring finger, and ring and pinky finger. He swings his arm, throwing the kunai to the ground and having them explode in between Gadreel and Nagato, setting off a giant dust cloud. At the same time as this, Nagato activates his chakra sensory, keeping tabs on Gadreel.

Immediately after the smoke cloud from the explosion forms, blocking Nagato and Gajeel's vision of each other, Nagato weaves two handseals in the blink of an eye and exhales a powerful fireball. He uses his ability to sense chakra to direct it through the smoke cloud and to smash into Gajeel's chest, burning a deep hole into him as it sends him flying into the wall behind him.
