Well if you aren't at all a comics book fan then here's a rough synopsis.
The Daily Bugle: It's the newspaper company in the Marvel Universe that Peter Parker does freelance photography at shooting photos of his alter-ego Spiderman, and super-villains that he may be facing at the moment such as Shocker, Vulture, Venom, etc.

The obnoxious, flamboyant, and hotheaded J. Jonah Jameson. He will without a shadow of a doubt be constantly in your face to give you a hard time for no logical reason even if you are doing a bang up job. Why? Because he doesn't care that's why. I mean c'mon, this guys smokes $100 dollar bills for goodness sakes! The only person he doesn't give a difficult time is his secretary, Betty Brant, and his chief of staff, Robbie Robinson. Oh and one more thing, he doesn't trust the city of New York in the hands of everybody's favorite Webslinger about as far as he can throw him.

The Daily Planet: A broadsheet newspaper in the DC Comics Universe, appearing mostly in the stories of Superman. The Daily Planet is based in Metropolis and employs Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen. Within the Superman comics, the Daily Planet is depicted as a famous nationally published newspaper of the same caliber as The New York Times.

None other than Perry White. He is opinionated, explosive, and a bit nuts. His outbursts of temper are legendary, but they get the needed results. Perry's a no-nonsense, hard-hitting individual who not only scoops the competition, but does it in a way that earns the respect of everyone - except the criminal element. Despite his tough exterior, Perry is more a paternal figure to his staff than a boss. He has a special fondness for Clark and Lois and feels they'd be as good a team personally as they are professionally. He also likes Jimmy Olsen more than he'll ever admit, even though he does get tired of the little punk calling him "Chief" all the time. Oh and unlike Jameson, this guy trusts Superman.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but it'd be just a tad bit more interesting working with the Daily Bugle rather than the Planet. Even though my job would be on the line for a while, I'm pretty sure I'd get Jameson's respect. Heh...and if you didn't know, well now you do. The actor in the movie Spiderman portraying Betty Brant (Elizabeth White) is smoking son! Plus good ol Peter Parker is there, and you just can't help but admire the guy seeing he isn't a rich and wealthy superhero like...meh...Bruce Wayne.
