Here BZ is shocked that Chojuro could make his sword that big in one instant. Key word here is "instant", meaning Chojuro enlarges and swings his sword in the time Minato moves somewhere with FTG!!!!! BZ also expresses that he can't even move, thats how fast it occurred, his mind is probably still processing what happened and hes now realizing it when he tried to move and noticed his lower half is gone!!!!!!:

Note this was before Momoshiki and Kenshiki. and we know that sword can both cut madera and damage his chakra points.
