This really does about explain it. Stealth means nothing in the face of huge destructive power like that. Does mist even reach that high into the sky? The guy was able to crush Edo Hizashi and Edo Kakazu, (2 ninja who in my opinion could beat Zabuza) during his battlefield rampage. Not to mention going toe to toe with the Gedo Mazu and taking out Asuma.

This is overkill for Zabuza. People often think that just because Zabuza has mist that makes him invincible, I know how fearsome he is, just below Kakashi level in power and never had lost a fight but there are many counters to the mist. Chouji is one of them.
