Choji mid-kage level?

I've seen people around referring to this character as being low-mid- kage level. I agree that his ability has increased since the war arc and he has become alot more stronger and has more confidence taking on Gedo Mazo etc.

But do you think his abilities, such as calorie control puts him up to even low kage level? For me personally it would have to be no, jonin possibly i'm not sure maybe i am underestimating the ability.

He's good in one department and that is strength aside from that he doesn't have much to put him anywhere above jonin level. If only he also had brains or speed to go with his strength he might come close.
Same with shikamaru, he excels in the brain department but he lacks in arsenal or fire power to go toe to toe with the big guys.

kage is general, the time Tsunade is ruling in all those kage from gaara to A seem to be more hype than action even Tsunade demonstrated the ability to be in and above the other current kage rankings.
