Choji is the strongest, but underrated

In every part of this forum when people come and talk of Konoha11, majority believe that Choji is one of the weakest. Why?

Kishi already hyped thru Shikamaru in part1 that Choji was the strongest among them even before himself or Neji

In part2, Kishi hyped him again thru Asuma by saying that he will be stronger than anyone

Choji's only problem was that he hated violence or to hurt his friends. But when he is overconfident, he is truely powerful something that Asuma

Now Choji can control BM(Butterfly mode) without taking pills something that even his father couldn't do

In this form, he is 100times stronger than his normal state like he said himself in part1. He was too confident in his power that he thought nothing was impossible, even thinking he could wipe the battlefield

It seems that he even defeated both Hizachi(Neji's father) and kakuzu on this pic

He was so confident in his power that he wanted to handle Gedo Mazo on his own

And with one punch alone, he was able to push Gedo Mazo back a little bit and everyone around it was pushed away because of the pressure

All that to show that Choji is indeed one of the strongest rookie in Konoha11 in the contrary of the popular belief who think the contrary probably because they don't like the character or because they are simply too blind to realise it

This would be a better Choji > Tsunade in terms of strength thread

Neji is one of my favourite character, but even i must admit that from what we've seen from both, Choji will kick his ass if they were to fight seriously. He is not 7th, he is in top3 or 4 at best

He can punch the Gedo Mazo. So? Didn't the Gedo Mazo stop his punch?

It was obviously to show us that he is not the weak emotional guy he used to be. He changed and fight without holding back and it doesn't matter anymore who the opponent is

He couldn't "hurt" Asuma because Asuma was never alive. It was Asuma himself that had to explain it to him a countless amount of times before he understood. Are you saying if Choji had to fight Kakashi, he wouldn't hesitate at all?

Concerning Sai, i believe he is also underrated. He was considered as the strongest of his generation by Danzo. He even managed to blitz strong Akatsuki members like Deidara and Sasori, and sealed multiple swordsmen. His abilities makes him a dangerous opponent in a fight and really usefull in missions. I may create a thread concerning him as well. Concerning Tenten i must admit that i didn't take into consideration the weapons

This is the pattern i'm talking about. When a character is usually underrated due to either kishi trolling them or not having enough screen time people then become fans of these characters and i've also done this, however i know my limit. I know when it gets ridiculous.

First thing is that people on NB need to note something called authorial intent. Understand this and it makes life easier. I'm not going to argue both part 1 and part 2 because im not too fussed about this topic. I will however champion Choji being the strongest out of the gennins, but particularly out of;

1. Shikamaru
2. Neji
3. Kiba
4. Naruto

.

Sometimes when you bring a character's statement into it, you should try and understand what the character is feeling/trying to say instead of blindly brining up hype which can be shot down. What Shikamaru said should be taken with a pinch of salt and if you understand what he is really trying to say you wouldn't use his statement at all. Its similar to what Neji says

Understand what neji means and you wouldnt say naruto eyes > byakugan (i know you didnt however im using that as an example). Similarly understand what shika means you wouldn't blindly state what he said. Sometimes 'hype' has a meaning and shouldn't be blindly used if you do not understand the meaning behind the word/phrase

First of all the opponent's that were allocated to the konoha shinobi's by kishi was based upon two things, fighting style and rank of opponent. I would just skim through the fighting style part.

• Choji was given jirobi because he matches his physicality.
• Neji was given Kidomaru because of his byakugan and gentle fist.
• Kiba/akamaru was given Sakon and Ukon because it was a 2 v 2 fight.
• Shikamaru was given Tayuya because of his intelligence and his Kagemane no Jutsu

Its time for rank of opponent. Its FACT that Choji faced the weakest of the sound 4. Jirobo was the weakest, though perhaps the strongest when in turns of physicality he was the weakest and this was portrayed several times in the manga.

Tayuya even confirms it. Choji faced the weakest of the sound 4 and even then he needed the use all 3 of the Sanshoku no Ganyaku to defeat him, in the end he was exhausted and couldn't catch up with his team mates.

Neji faced kidomaru. It was already established by Tayuya that jirobi was the weakest, yet Kiba further implied this when he said kidomaru was

than jirobi. To further establish this Sakon claimed that when Kidomaru reaches level 2 of the cm the opponent

since kimmimaro and this was after what Neji did to him. Finally he acknowledges, Neji as the

Only Choji/Neji won their fights in a 1 vs 1 situation.
Kiba/Shikamaru couldn't and in the end had aid from the sand siblings, however their opponents has already been established as stronger than Choji's opponent; Jirobi. Out of sakon/ukon and Tayuya id rank them are equal with Kidomaru being the strongest out of 4 and jirobi as the weakest;

• Kidomaru
• Ukon/Sakon and Tayuya
• Tayuya and Ukon/Sakon
• Jirobi

From this we can say out of the 4 that fought the sound 4 The ranking was this;

• Neji
• Kiba/Shikamaru
• Shikamaru/Kiba
• Choji

In part 2 he has shown to be able to enter Chodan Bakugeki without pills, however we haven't seen enough of the other rookies to state whether he has gone above those who were stronger than him. Anyway i'm not coming back so do with it as you please

as much as i like sai kun .... he's not stronger than the others .. but i'll look foward to your thread ...... we've seen what choji has done in the war ... but people forget that no just him got strong , also did 10 10 , ino so far .... now that the they've arrive to the main battle ... we'll see the how strong the others like neji & conmpany are ..... & make a current list of K 11 xd
