Chinese speaking people!

Ive recently started studying Mandarin Chinese. and im widely interested in the culture. next summer, im joining the exchange program and im staying with a Chinese family. Anyway, im looking for a Chinese tutor or even some tips or hints.

thats neat. but I cant help you I don't speak chinese or know their culture. Do you have to know how to speak chinese before you go to china

My girlfriend can speak manderin I started to learn Japanese since I plan of traveling to Japan one day

I dont need to know Chinese to go, but my Chinese family wont know English. I do, however, need to know alittle Chinese for my class. I used to, btw, be more interested in Japanese culture. But that gradually changed as I started taking Chinese class and learned how different they are.
