well the more population you have = The more babies = the more chance for evolution :)

Who knows :) And this is just one of the many cases of biological miracles ^^

btw, you'd better edit your first post and delete the second one. Double-posting is against the rules and will result in an infraction :/
3 infractions a temporary ban

He possible has super-sensitivity to light.

In the daytime, light probably appears extremely bright to him at first until it adjusts to the standard daylight.

I have to agree with this guy. ^^

Interesting topic btw. xD

Pretty cool but what if he just wants to chill in the dark? He would still see everything even if he doesn't want to lol but still an interesting topic on possible human evolution. Why did we have to be born in the era of boring humans?? I want super powers too! xd xd

Bah, I honestly find this article a little ignorant.

Many Chinese people have Turkic and Kyrgyz heritage which are known to have light coloured eyes. Here are a couple of examples.

They've performed scientific tests that consist of covering a stairwell with blankets? Seriously? :|

Hell this kids condition could even be ocular albinism instead of pure genetics.

Besides, many people with light coloured eyes see better in the dark and have problems with direct sunlight. I can't open my eyes in the sunlight. If I do, I feel an amazing strain and can't see shyte. Eye colour works the same way skin colour does.
The darker the eye the more melanin it contains, which helps protect against the sun.
My skin is (unfortunately) as white as can be and I get bloody blisters in the summer no matter what amount of sunscreen I use. Seriously, I literally burn. But black people, on the other hand, are very lucky due to their skin colour and are not affected by the sun in such an extreme way.

It goes by the same logic.

"Adam Hickenbotham, an optometrist and clinical researcher at University of California, Berkeley, contacted us to say he believes Nong has a mild case of ocular albinism. This would explain the boy's lightly-pigmented irises, and would also cause him to have a lower than usual amount of pigment in his retinas. This would make them appear slightly reflective, and would cause Nong to have difficulty seeing in bright light."
Not that special after all.

Hmm.. I guess that somewhat debunks the whole examination. What about the fact the boy is capable of seeing clearly in a pitch dark room?

Hahahaha the pitch dark room was actually a stairwell covered with blankets. They tend to exaggerate with these kind of news.

Does it really matter where the examination is being held? It just has to be a pitch dark room, right?
I can go to my bathroom right now, where there's no window at all, close the door and force a blanket underneath to block any ray of light and it is pitch and pitch dark in there.

The video shows that they blocked most of the light with blankets. The key word here is most. In a pitch dark room he would not be able to see, I'm sure.

Actually, it does depend. Besides in the video it's stated that most of the light was blocked.

It's physically impossible to see where there is no light. By physically I mean both scientific physically and bodily physically.
The thing we call vision is just our ocular nerves picking up light reflecting off of objects. It's as simple as that.

Besides, an environment with a total lack of light is extremely hard to achieve, a dark staircase and a blanket or two won't suffice.

I'm talking about the type of darkness in which noone would be capable of reading a book. Which the kid easily did.

nice find! i love how you state a bunch of different possiblities as what may have caused it(ie alien genetic manipulation) Though that stuff is unlikely it is good to at least ponder all the what ifs.

Its the new type of children being born.3 DNA strands maybe.. I hope its the next step in evolution or a rise in conciousness among humans of today. The shift of ages has begun =)

What you see here is a picture of a quadruple-helix DNA that has now been found and confirmed to exist in human cells. The famous "molecule of life", which carries our genetic code, is more familiar to us as a double helix. But researchers tell the journal Nature Chemistry that the "quadruple helix" is also present in our cells, and in ways that might possibly relate to fighting cancer. They suggest that control of the structures could provide novel ways to fight the disease. "The existence of these structures may be loaded when the cell has a certain genotype or a certain dysfunctional state," said Prof Shankar Balasubramanian from Cambridge's department of chemistry. The four-stranded DNA arose most frequently during the so-called "s-phase" when a cell copies its DNA just prior to dividing.

Now I am not jumping to any false conclusions or early judgements, but I do find in interesting that both the triple helix and quadruple helix DNA are being discovered within human cells in a time where the New Age community is at the same time telling us we will experience "DNA activation". DNA activation is the idea that as you become awakened and begin to embody Cosmic Consciousness, you embody new powers and abilities as you begin to incorporate new genetic segments that had once not been active and begin to use more of your brains potential then we currently use. This is believed by many to be a sign of spiritual, mental, and biological evolution.

Whether or not this is a product of human evolution, or is merely a new discovery of a pre-existing structure that has always been there, this study is a perfect example of how we can't dogmatically accept everything the scientific community feeds us. This is a great example of how a new discovery has completely changed what was once accepted as truth within the mainstream scientific community. ""It's been sixty years since its structure was solved but work like this shows us that the story of DNA continues to twist and turn," said Julie Sharp, senior science information manager at Cancer Research UK.
