Nicholas stood facing a long, climbing set of stairs carved into the stone. A flat plateau of earth stretched out behind him before giving way to water. The hairs stood up on the back of his neck; someone had arrived. He turned to face the presence.

Nicholas stood facing a long, climbing set of stairs carved into the stone. A flat plateau of earth stretched out behind him before giving way to water. The hairs stood up on the back of his neck; someone had arrived. He turned to face the presence.
OOC: 'll lower myself to B-rank to help you out! I'll use my Darui bio. Water, Lightning, Wind, and Storm Release elements up to B-rank for me. B-rank basic abilities also.
Walking out of what was once Killer B's personal training area, Darui had used the cave as a way to escape the mundane life of a Kage in this time filled with peace. He was intrigued to see a man coming up the stairs and wondered how he had even made it this far into the mountains to begin with.
"Sorry, this area's off limits. Could I ask you turn around and go home please?" Darui would call in response. He began walking down the stairs towards the man, his hands in his pockets and his hood casting a shade over his eyes.
A powerful man stood before Nicholas, that much was apparent. A man of the Cloud most likely, confirmation that Nicholas had ventured beyond the border. He looked up at the slightly-hooded man, his eyes shielded by still visible through the shady mask.
Apologies, but I've come too far to turn back now. He had no interest in harming the man, but he couldn't be deterred, not now. With the artifact in reach, forward was his only choice. I hope you don't hold this against me, I'm normally a pretty amiable guy!
Nicholas raced forward and weaved his hands together. Little seemed to happen, but a small bump of ice took shape on the bottom step of the staircase and redirected a beam of light straight into Darui's eyes, blinding him for a moment. Taking advantage of this moment, Nicholas froze a flat path of ice leading from beneath himself, up to below Darui. Blinded, Darui would slip on the ice and begin to slide down the steps. Nicholas merged into the icy path and raced up it, passing below the blinded Darui before popping out and continuing up the stairs.

Due to the reflection being very strong and concentrated into one point, i.e. opponents’ eyes, he gets blinded enough for the user to move from long to mid or mid to short, and vice versa.

Description: After making two hand seals the user will create a frozen path in a place of their choosing, which can extend up to long range. While it is typical to create this path along surfaces, it is not restricted to that usage and can be created through the air. Holding similar properties to the demonic ice mirrors, the user can merge into this road and travel through it, moving with great speed. As the road is icy and imbued with the user's chakra, it is also difficult for others to travel on it, restricting their speed to half of their base speed.

Darui watched and shook his head as the man continued despite his warning. However, Darui had stayed one step ahead of his opponent by subtly casting an illusion over him. Using the illusion to escape out of the way, Darui would jump into the air over the stranger as he watched him create a path of ice. Nicholas would see everything in the illusion happen according to his plan as the illusion stood in Darui's place. Darui landing at the bottom of the stairs would notice his opponent was an Ice Release user by now, noticing the path of ice he merged and began escaping up the stairs. What was someone from the famed Yuki clan doing here?

Description:
A simple technique, this genjutsu works solely as a defensive measure. The user will produce an illusionary copy of himself while he escapes the path/area of the attack with a rapid movement, unnoticed and masked by the technique. The enemy will see and hear the user in the original place until the attack connects with the illusionary copy, at which point it will disperse, revealing the true location of the user. The technique can be controlled so as to have the illusionary copy interact and talk in specific ways with the enemy for other purposes, while the user remains hidden from the targets perception. The illusion is often personalized from user to user, namely in its dispersion, sometimes in relation to the users elemental affinity or summoning companions, following a theme unique to him. The limitation is that the user cannot escape large techniques with this ability nor incredibly fast ones, since the escape is his movement and, as such, is limited to small scaled attacks or normal paced ones. Only techniques which can be escaped by moving out of their way running or through movement can be defended from with this. The main limit however, is that, since its a sustainable illusion, triggering any offensive action towards the target will immediately release the illusion, be it a simple taijutsu move or a ninjutsu attack; any aggressive action the user wants to take will immediately break his focus and control over the technique, releasing the target from it. The stronger the user is with the usage of Genjutsu, the more effective and strong the illusion will be and more times can it be used.
Note: This version can only be used by ninjas without a Sharingan.

As Nicholas escaped up the stairs, Darui had withdrawn his cleaver sword and channeled his lightning chakra into the blade. It increased the vibration of the blade, which Darui readily channeled additional chakra into. As the trespasser popped out of the other end of the ice path he had made, he would be met with a electrfied crescent of red chakra which would slice his opponent in two should he not avoid the technique.

He brought his hands together and grew a tall but thin pillar of ice from the ground beneath him, lifting him into the air. The crescent of chakra tore through the pillar and shattered the ice.

Darui looked on as the stranger ascended upwards on a newly fashioned pillar of ice. He had quick enough reflexes to avoid the wave of chakra Darui had sent towards him, but how long would he last exactly Darui wondered. As Nicholas turned in mid-air looking on at Darui he'd be subjected to another subtle genjutsu that activated quickly. Nicholas would suddenly feel an irresistible urge to rub his eyes as his brain was tricked into believing he had dust suddenly fly into his eyes. The momentary lapse in concentration would prevent Nicholas from being able to release his wind as Darui preformed a chakra infused jump in a follow-up with the illusion.

Description: When a person touches something really hot, the temperature receptors in the skin sense the high temperature and sends nerve impulses via sensory neurons to the spinal chord and then to the motor neurons. The motor neuron will then send a message to the muscles in the arm telling them to contract so that the hand can untouch the object. This is a quick reflex system deployed by the human body and the muscles involuntarily perform the action. This particular genjutsu is based on the very same concept. By channeling chakra into the opponent's brain, the user can cause the opponent to feel similar effects in his body which would make the opponent to perform the respective involunatry reflexive reactions for it. For example, the target may suddenly feel his sword to be hot and pull his arm back while opening his palm to release the blade. Another example would be that the opponent would feel a sharp pain at the back of his elbow, more like an insect bite or a sting with a needle/senbon which would cause him to push his elbow forward. The pain felt due the illusion does not cause any (or minor damage which can be neglected) mental damage to the target. The pain can however last for a millisecond to more than few seconds and will depend on the user how he wants to manipulate the genjutsu. The justu does not limit the user by just giving him the ability to cause minor pain. The core ability of this jutsu relies on the fact that it can cause the opponents to perform certain small reactions. Hence, creating irritation in the target's eye, causing him to rub his eye etc. is also possible. Physical strength of a person would not matter as it is just an illusion, which can affect anyone who is vulnerable to genjutsu, and it would hence, be up to the opponent to figure out that it's an illusion.

Darui's jump sent him upwards towards Nicholas while his opponent was still afflicted by the genjutsu. Darui still wielding his cleaver sword swung it in front of him at Nicholas dealing a substantial amount of damage as the slash connected with his opponent's exposed chest due to him rubbing his eyes carving a deep gash into his opponent. The blade is enhanced by Darui's lightning affinity making the attack much more potent as he was sent flying into the rockface.

Rather than flesh and bone, the blade shattered a chunk of leftover ice from the road that had been previously destroyed while Nicholas used high speed movement to escape behind Darui. Not only that, but a tag was left along with the ice, and erupted into a mist in Darui's face.

He unleashed a series of slashes at Darui's back before finishing with a powerful x-shaped cut using both sabers that sent the foe tumbling forward.

As Darui's opponent was split in two, he could tell something was off about the effortlessness of the cut he had made. That's when the illusion broke revealing Nicholas had changed places with some of the torn up ice. Darui in response would quickly make use of his sword to create a whirlwind which would send the chunks of ice and the mist away from him leaving him unaffected by trespasser's tricks.

Description: This technique utilizes wind chakra into the users sword and then swings it to create a powerful whirlwind of sharp winds. The core skill behind the technique is the timing between channeling chakra into the sword and releasing it as the sword is swung.
As Darui landed back on the ground, he could hear the steps of his opponent charging behind him as Nicholas closed in to attack. As he turned towards his charging opponent, Darui's lightning natured chakra began slicing into his opponent's flesh, as he had unleashed 5 thin wires from his left hand. The wires would constrict his opponent's movements preventing him from getting close.
"I'm sorry I can't let you do as you please. I know it's kinda dull around here as of late, but this area's off-limits like I said. Now mind telling me your name? "
Ninjutsu: Nezumi no Hoohige) Ninja Arts: Rat Whiskers

Description: The user will expel chakra outwards, from theur hands. The chakra will create a set of 5 wires, thin and sharp but strong, which will immediately wrap around the opponent. While they can be used on their own to powerfully constrict the opponent, they can be used more efficiently by adding an elemental nature to them. Strong elements (Earth, Metal, etc) or Slicing elements (Wind, Lightning, etc) will strengthen or sharpen the thin wires, which will allow them to slice through flesh and bone by the inherited constriction force. Other elements may weaken the body itself, allowing the said slicing effect (Fire burning, Rotting elements, etc). Elements that do not fall in these characteristics will simply add their characteristics to the wires, but will only have the tight grip of normal chakra wires, and not the slicing property.
With one handseal, the wires can be shot from the ground upwards, binding the target. The user can gradually increase the sharpness and the tight hold of the technique by hand gestures (when he uses it from his hands directly as "whips") or by maintaining the hand seal (if used from the ground). The wires are only able to sever the thinner limbs/weak spots and severely injuring the thicker body parts (I.e Severe arms, legs, necks, and Injure torso, head).
Note: If used from the ground, can't perform any further jutsu until the grip is released.
Note: This jutsu can only be used thrice per battle, at max 1 usage every two turns.
Note: The wires follow the element's and rank's weaknesses and strengths.

Several paper bombs would land near the stranger's fallen body. As Darui kept him bound with the Lightning Wires, he planned to give his opponent a chance to answer his questions before outright executing him.

Description: The user will throw three paper bombs connected to kunai that act like parachutes and float down above the enemy. The user will then make the confrontation hand seal to explode the explosive tags when they reach their desired location.
Using hand gestures, Nicholas created a barrier of rotating wind that surrounded him as the wires encircled his position. As they closed in and tried to bind him, they were instead deflected away. The nature of the attack made it so there was little offensive threat from deflecting the wires back at Darui, put they could perhaps entangle him for a moment.

They then uses a specific hand seal which causes the chunks of ice at the target's feet to grow into one large chunk, freezing the target completely. Quickly jumping back they throw several senbon at the frozen target. It partially cracks the chunk of ice, and then shatters outward, damaging the target once more.
Nicholas descended from above with both swords pointed down and drove into Darui, crashing him into the ground.

As Darui's feet became encased in ice, he would release lightning chakra from every point of his body create a barrier which would vaporize the ice entrapping him while also serving to protect him from subsequent attacks.

As Nicholas was descending down upon him, Darui would manipulate the barrier standing his ground and sending a wave of electrical energy back up towards the oncoming opponent.

If used on the user's own water techniques, rather than collapsing it, it will convert it into a water/ice combination technique that becomes empowered. When using it on the user's own water, this can be used in the same time frame as the water technique while still costing one of the user's three moves.

Darui looked on through his barrier as he watched the opponent defend himself from the wave of lightning energy. But, as the opponent attempted to land, Darui would cut off his escape as he used his lightning chakra to stimulate his nervous system doubling his speed as he lurched towards Nicholas. Still encased in his plasma barrier, Darui would ram into Nicholas just before he could slam his swords into the ground. As Nicholas was left plastered against the barrier receiving substantial electrical burns, Darui unleashed all of the remaining energy in the barrier. With it being focused in one place, it would deal damage a second time as Nicholas was launched several meters away. (80 damage total)

Description: By utilising Lightning Release, the user can speed up the signals that are sent from the brain to the muscles to increase the user's striking speed. The technique also gives the user cutting capabilities from barehanded attacks. When in use this, allows the user to gain an increase of speed and Taijutsu, doubling his speed and increasing his Tai by 20 damage for 3 turns.
Darui continued after his opponent, with his enhanced speed he was able to keep up with Nicholas despite him being flung several meters away. Before Nicholas could fall, Darui with his cleaver sword in hand came down with a mighty chop to Nicholas's abdomen severing it in two while he was still flying backward. Blood splattered as Nicholas' upper and lower body was flung in two different directions.

Description: The user channels their lightning chakra into a blade, increasing its vibrating frequency and giving it more cutting power than standard wind techniques.
It seemed that his foe wouldn't afford him the luxury of time. The blitz forced Nicholas to abandon his attack and instead return to defense, and he needed one quick. Throwing both hands forward he went back to a familiar technique, manifesting a swirling shield of wind in front of him. Where the technique had reflected the approaching wires earlier, this time the attack was Darui himself. His charge clashed with the shield of wind, but he was thrown back with the same force of which he attacked.

Description: A self-proclaimed invincible barrier; using hand gestures, the user is able to create a protective barrier of wind capable of repelling any incoming attack they perceive, back on the original user with equal force. Using this, the user is able to repel any B rank ninjutsu back, based on strength and weaknesses of Wind.
NIcholas sheathed his swords and weaved his hands together. As Darui came to a halt, water gushed out from the ground beneath him and envolped him. His lightning barrier only served to electrify the water, causing the prison to shock him.

Description: The user creates a flow of gushing water under the opponent which traps them in a sphere of water. The user can perform an attack while the opponent is trapped. This jutsu is similar to Water Prison Technique, though the user doesn't need to keep his arm in the sphere of water.
He then shaped an ice tiger from the water in the air which charged at the prison-bound enemy. When the tiger reached the water, instead of attacking it reached out and touched its paw to the water. The cold touch chilled the water and froze it completely solid, trapping Darui within.
