Kirin munched away at the gum that restrained him to the wall. He ate enough to free himself. He landed on the ground and grinned.
Man 1: Hmm. It hasn't kicked in yet? This kid must be special...
Behind Kirin and the Gum man, Kusuri and Hoshi looked around, bewildered.
Kusuri: What type of man has the power to move through objects?
Hoshi: I don't know, but it's definitely not normal!
Kusuri let out a gasp. He looked down and saw a hand poking out of the ground and wrapped around his ankle. Kusuri sliced at it with Hoshi's knife, but the hand quickly retreated into the ground.
Kusuri: What the hell is up with these guys?
Hoshi: I don't know.
Suddenly, an arm came out of the wall near to her and pulled against the wall. She let out a gasp. To her side, Man 2 came out of the wall from the shoulder up.
Man 2: Gotcha.
He closed his eyes and grinned.
Man 2: Ya bony-!
He got cut off when Hoshi stabbed the arm in the elbow. The man yelled out. He and the arm retracted into the wall. Man 1 turned around.
Man 1: What the hell happened?
Man 2 came beside his partner.
Man 2: My arm's shot...
Blood dripped from his arm.
Kusuri's eyes widened.
Kusuri: (I got it! He's able to travel through and into solid objects! Apparantly, he can "detach" his body parts and make them appear separate from his real body, but it still acts as his. Any damage done to it is inflicted on him for real.) Hoshi, I got him figured out!
???: You two haven't killed these guys yet?
Everyone gasped and looked up too see another man. He wore a hooded cloak that ended at his waist but stretched off to the back like a cape. He had on the hood and a mask that covered his nose and mouth.
Man 1: No, boss! We just aren't going serious!
Boss: Hmph. Just leave it to me.
Kusuri: Hoshi! I think I've got one of the guys figured out!
While he was yelling, Kusuri didnt notice the Boss land behind him. Kusuri turned around, right into a punch that sent him flying into a wall. The wall cracked and fell apart.
Hoshi/Kirin: Kusuri!
Boss: Utter weaklings.
Kirin: You bas-!
A look of shock appeared on his face.
Hoshi: Kirin!
Man 1: It finally kicked in. My gum is poisoned. Normally, he would be dead. The fact that he's alive proves he's special.
Kirin clutched his stomach and collapsed. The Boss turned to Hoshi.
Boss: Think you can take us all by yourself?
Hoshi cringed but tightened the grip on her knife.
Man 2: Oh ho, looks like she wants to fight!
The Boss started walking towards her when someone landed between him and Hoshi. As he landed, the ground cracked apart and the houses shook.
Hoshi: Tekko!
Tekko looked back at Hoshi and smiled. His smile faded as he looked around and saw Kirin on the ground and Kusuri under rubble.
Tekko: What happened here?
Hoshi: These guys attacked us!
Tekko: I can't let that fly.
Boss: (Tekko?)
In the blink of an eye, Tekko appeared behind Man 2. He delivered a swift chop that sent him flying through a wall.
Boss: So i was right...
Man 1: You bastard. We'll kill you right here!
Boss: No. We're leaving.
He nodded towards Man 2's body.
Boss: Pick him and lets go.
Man 1: But-
Boss: If you fight this man, you WILL die, so let's go!
Man 1: *Gulps* Okay, Boss.
Man 1 picked up his partner's body and leapt off. The Boss turned to leap off to when he turned back to face Tekko.
Boss: This ain't over, Tekko. Not by a long shot.
He leapt off.
Hoshi: Who were those guys?
Tekko: I don't know, but I'm sure we haven't seen the last of them.
