One day, a young man was walking through his small town. The young man had spiky black hair and wore a white shirt that was zipped up all the way, but still had most of his neck exposed and the collar slightly rose up to his neck. He wore black pants and similar shoes to the members of Akatsuki. He went into a shop and sat down.
???: Hey Kirin!
The young man looked over and saw two people, another young man and a woman. He walked over to them and sat down.
Woman: Hey Kirin!
Kirin: What’s up, Hoshi.
Man: Kirin, what you been up to?
Kirin: Nothing much, just walking around town.
At that moment, the owner of the shop walked past and accidentally bumped into Kirin. A small stone fell out of his hand and hit the ground.
Kirin: Oh, sorry Tekko.
Kirin picked up the stone and handed it to Tekko.
Tekko: Thanks, Kirin.
As Tekko started walking away, he glanced at the stone and saw it glowing it blue.
Tekko: (Impossible, how can that boy hold the power of an Astral?)
Hoshi suddenly yelled out.
Hoshi: Are you crazy?!
Kirin: Nope, don’t you ever want to explore? This town is soo small. Don’t you ever want to go on an adventure?
Man: I know what you mean, we need some excitement.
Kirin: See, Kusuri knows what I’m talking ‘bout.
Hoshi: That’s cuz your both idiots!
Kirin: You can stay cooped up in this tiny town, but someday, people are gonna tell tales of Kirin!
Tekko ducked behind a counter and leaned up against a wall.
Tekko: (The stone glowed blue, that means he’d have the lightning affinity.
He’s got the same attitude of the last Lightning Astral.)
Kusuri: We should go on an adventure.
Suddenly Tekko walked over.
Tekko: Kirin, can I talk to you in the back?
Kirin nodded and walked over to the back with Tekko.
Kirin: What’s up?
Tekko took out the rock and tossed it at Kirin. Kirin caught the rock and it started glowing blue.
Kirin: Whoa! Is this some kinda special rock?
Tekko: In a way, but it’s not just the rock. You know what Astrals are, right?
Kirin: Yeah. About a 1000 years ago, several beings with special powers were at war, the Lightning, Steel, Water, Wind, Fire, Earth and Explosion.
When an Astral dies, he’s reincarnated. The Lightning, Steel and Water Astrals fought for justice while the Explosion, Fire and Wind Astrals fought for world domination. The Earth Astral disappeared, fed up with the constant fighting.
Tekko: You sure know a lot about them.
Kirin: Yeah, I know all of the myths!
Tekko: It’s not a myth. That rock was forged by the Earth Astral himself. When touched by an Astral, it reacts to his unique Chikara and alerts them to which Astral they are.
Kirin: Chikara?
Tekko sat down on a stool.
Tekko: Ah, I see you don’t know everything. Chikara is the force inside every living thing. It can be used in several ways. The strongest Astrals, the one you mentioned before, could use them to create and manipulate their specific element. Other Astrals can use them to do special tricks. I don’t wanna brag, but they’re not as strong as out elemental affinities.
Kirin: Wait. You don’t wanna brag? Inferior to us? Other Astrals?
Tekko: Yep. I’m the Astral of Steel. According to what I’ve seen, you’re the Lightning Astral. The Water Astral is somewhere on a journey. Last time I saw her, she left for the seas.
Kirin: Come on, Astrals are just a myth, a legend.
Tekko: Then explain this.
Tekko clapped his hands a column of steel came out of his back.
Tekko: Believe me now?
Kirin: Uh, yeah I guess.
Tekko: Well I heard you want adventure. Want to come with me on my adventure.
Kirin: What are you doing really.
Tekko: Not all Astrals are elemental ones, but they are some with their own powers. Not all of them are exactly “good”. Our job is to put them in their place.
Kirin: What are you talking about? You’ve been here for 2 years.
Tekko: Yeah. The Astrals haven’t been acting up as much, so I decided to just kick back and live as a human. However, it seems they’ve been causing trouble again. Want to join me?
Kirin: You bet!
Tekko: Good, get ready. We’ll leave in a weak!
Next: Departure!
