The next day, Tekko sat on the dock at the town shore. Kirin came up with a black shirt with silver lining on the inside, a black and silver version of the one he wore yesterday. He wore long white pants that were tucked lightly into his shoes. He also had a backpack on and wore a white headband around his forehead.
Tekko looked over, revealing that he was eating an apple. He swallowed.
Tekko: Whoa! What’s with the get-up?
Kirin: I can say the same to you!
Tekko wore a martial arts outfit with bandages on his forearms and the outfit was black. The shirt of the outfit was sleeveless.
Tekko: Ready to go?
Kirin: Yea-Wait! Where’s the boat?
Tekko: Right-
???: Kirin!
Kirin and Tekko turned and saw Hoshi and Kusuri run up.
Kirin: Came to wish me goodbye?
Hoshi: Nope, we’re coming with ya!
Kirin: What?
Kusuri: We can’t just let you go off on a big ole adventure alone, can we?
Tekko noticed a sword strapped to Kusuri’s back, who wore a sleeveless white shirt and black pants.
Tekko: Kusuri, I didn’t know you were a swordsman.
Kusuri: Yep. This here’s my Chopper. My dad and I forged it and he thought everything he knows.
Tekko: That’s right, your dad’s is the Slicer, right?
Kusuri: Yeah.
Tekko: I can’t believe I didn’t notice this before!
Kirin: What?
Tekko: Kusuri, you have a pretty strong Chikara. You too Hoshi.
Kusuri: Uh what?
Tekko explained to them everything he told Kirin yesterday.
Hoshi: Are you kidding me? We’re some things called Astrals?!
Tekko: That’s pretty much it. While we’re on the seas, I’ll train each of you to be able to use your Chikara, then I’ll train each of you individually to see what best you to use your Chikara. Kirin, I already know what you need, you just have to learn to be able to create your lightning, then you can train yourself to control and utilize it in whatever fits you best.
Kirin: Cool.
Hoshi: Where’s the boat? I don’t see any docked here right now.
Tekko: I have my own boat right here.
Tekko reached into a pouch on the side of his hip and took out a purple scroll. He tugged on the string that held the scroll shut and he opened it. He aimed the scroll towards the water and in a puff of smoke, a large boat appeared. Most of the boat on the deck was wood, but most of its base was metal.
Hoshi: Wait, a metal base? Does that mean-?
Tekko: Yeah. It has a few turbines that supply the ship with some electricity, though it won’t be a complete luxury. We’ll travel by this at sea, and by a land-runner when on land and desert. When we come across mountains or caverns, however, we’ll walk.
Kirin/Kusuri: Ok.
Hoshi: Speak for yourselves, I don’t wanna travel across mountains on foot!
Kirin: Suit yourself, stay behind.
Hoshi: As if!
Tekko: Fine, we’re off! I originally planned on us being bounty hunters, going after Astrals that make trouble, but for now, there’s a special tournament for Astrals. We’ll stop by there and get some money and, after your training, to test your abilities.
Kirin: Tournament?
Tekko: Yes, the prize is 5000 Okane.
Kirin: That’s a lot!
Tekko: Yep, well all onboard, let’s go!
