How is this problem exclusive to Chidori? I'm sure we've all seen enough parallels between Naruto and Sasuke to know that Rasengan is literally the same jutsu only spiraly instead of lightningy. So... How come rasengan doesn't have the same problem

Rasengan isn't any different in that aspect. I don't think it changes your vision more than the simple fact that you go in a linear path when using the technique, so it's very easy to dodge.

It's because you cannot throw a chidori, you have to, at all times run quickly towards and make physical contact to hit the target and you don't make a chidori using clones which gives you a wider field of vision.

chidori is a fast movement attack meant for assinations, a ball of chkra fused with lighting nature, the wield moving so fast its to hard follow your own attack and also to see your opponents movements making this attack easy to counter head on (unless your kakashi with his dogs and sneak attacks).while rasangan is just a ball of chakra moving in mutiply circular patterns which is like a grenade which is nothing just destructive force . naruto anit got no speed compare to sasuke and landing a rasangan is just as hard
kabuto was able to stop naruto
but being the main charaters only offensive move its easy to get hit by a rasangan when everyone in the show literally just walks into it....cough cough pain cough

For chidori to be a penetrating jutsu, user must run at high speed, high enough to create a tunnel-effect which makes it nearly impossible for the user to remain aware of his/her surroundings leaving open for a surprise attack or good counters...
Sharingan gives better reflexes nullifying the effect and Raikiri developed by Kakashi most probably doesn't need that speed stuff anymore...

Rasengan on it's own packs the impact that has to be delivered, no need for additional stuff.

Because he's not traveling as fast as Sasuke. At least not in part 1.

Ok disregarding the speed feats between the two characters, the only real logical reason has to be plot, because Minato was fastest out of the all them and yet he never had to worry about this "tunnel vision." Kishi thought it was probably logical to make a jutsu that would be more beneficial if you had a sharingan. It also allowed Kakashi to prioritize which one of his pupils he would have taught chidori to, he definetly reflected on the situation when Minato said don't use that jutsu again until you can develope a counter for it, and that counter was the sharingan, which Sasuke had, but we've never seen anyone else use Chidori/Rakiri/Lightning Blade other than for Sasuke and Kakashi. I don't know why this "tunnel vision" only applies to Chidori/Lightning blade other than for plot because even in next generation, the person who going to learn Chidori next in succession is Sarada Uchiha, who has the sharingan. Think about it really, Boruto was Sasuke's disciple and Sasuke was Boruto's mentor, and he didn't even bother to bring up teaching him Chidori, he just automatically went to teaching him the rasengan which I know because Boruto has an wind affinity and not a lightning one that we currently know of. So in conclusion, it's plot so chidori is basicaly restricted to Sharingan and lightning affinity users, you don't need the sharingan it's just suppose to help you with all honestly reflexes, the whole tunnel vision is petty tbh.

Geez guys it's simple, when chidori or raikiri is used to penetrate or kill, it must have speed behind.... Or the element of surprise at least(kakashi vs kakuzu) although raikiri is arguably a strictly piercing tech as chidori can be used for other things besides piercing(sasukes used it to just shock people) the tunnel vision only applies when your rushing at someone to pierce, rasengan has no such problems as its destructive nature doesn't have nearly as much to do with the speed it's used to hit at
