Alright so.
I guess that depends on what Kishimoto wants. There really isn't a rivalry between Boruto or Sarada, so if they were both to branch out from their father's techniques; Rasengan (Boruto), and Chidori (Sarada). Then it would just be a skill they have on their own. Just pointing out that there doesn't need to be a rivalry for them to have these techniques.
That being said. It can go either way. Sarada is Sasuke's daughter, and she's bound to pick a few things from him eventually. She doesn't really have any confirmed elemental natures, but I already apply Katon on her list due to the fact that all Uchiha's have a natural affinity for Fire. Not that she has techniques, but the fact that her chakra nature is most likely fire.
Her main style seems to be CES, so maybe Kishimoto might approach it like CC2? Maybe a combination of Lightning Release, and CES? Either way, it's a fifty percent chance.

Since you mentioned Boruto I'll speak my mind there. Boruto is Sasuke's student, and furthermore dreams of becoming a shinobi of his caliber. From where I stand, Kishimoto made it absolutely clear on what type of character he drew resources from in making Boruto's personality. The main two being his father, and Sasuke. There was even a conversation in the Hokage's office where Sasuke mentioned that Boruto seemed like Naruto, and Naruto had denied this. He later told Sasuke that Boruto was more like Sasuke, but then took it back. He later said Boruto was different from him too.
The reason why Naruto said that his son was different from himself, and Sasuke, was the fact that unlike those two, Boruto didn't work hard, which is something that both Naruto and Sasuke supplement in their characters. It's the reason why they ended up as the men they are now.
So in that sense, if Kishimoto wants to continue the theme of Naruto and Sasuke being characterized in Boruto, he can possibly learn Chidori. In that essence, he's already ahead of Sarada by actually having confirmed elemental natures, with that being Raiton in the mixture.
But like Sarada above, it's also fifty percent. He could very well just make a variation of the Chidori into his Rasengan, or a Lightning Rasengan too.
Either way, who knows? Just my honest opinion here.
