Well, scientifically speaking.. There's been a new finding of (I completely forgot the specifics) a certain protein being found in the egg shell which meant.. >.> something, which lead them to believe the egg came before the chicken. Wow, great answer xD basically I believe egg came first.

Philosophically speaking, this answer can be converted to so many different things, like evolution whatnot. (Well how did the first living cell come into existence?) and there's others that I can't think of off the top of my head. But yeah ._.
