Chat Option?

I don`t know wheter or not this has been asked/suggested before, but i was thinking, wouldn`t it be nice to have a chat option beside the Vm and Pm at NB?

I mean, we have the Vm/Pm to talk to each other online or offline, but the thing is, we`ll have to wait awhile each time we`re posting a Vm/Pm before we get a reply, and we`ll have to hang on tight to be able to reply as fast as possible to make the convo go alot faster.

So i was thinking, would it be better to have a third option?

Like the one on Facebook for example. Where you can post something on somebody`s wall, but also chat with all the friends of your that are online at the same time fast and easy, without having to wait awhile for you get a reply?

What do you think?
Maybe they even include something like that in 4 days?

I just set up an irc server. I don't know if anyone would want to use it, but it's there. I'm still working on it, but it's useable at this point.

This would actually be a good idea. But the question is, would it be like one big chat for everyone, or would it be one to one chats? If its one big one, it will be packed with the 1000 people who are on at the same time. I would rather have the one on one chat.

Well, i meant like the facebook thing. Not like vms, those take too long.

It's irc. You can create your own chatrooms (called channels), with specific or broad topics. You become the operator of that channel. You can make your own rules for that channel. The channels can be public or private or invite only. You can give out a "key" to your channel. You can have one on one private chats (called dcc chats). You can add a bot to your channel for entertainment or to use as a party line or file server. You can share files privately. What else...umm...lot's more

Yes they are too, but that`s not what i want to be made. More like a live thing like Facebook chat or MSN.

I already made it. I'm just tweaking it here and there. You guys can use it if you want (don't be mad if I break it while I'm working on it).

I'm hoping Versuvio and an admin or 2 will want to help out with it. I'll write a how-to when I'm finished setting it up.
