Two holes in that explanation though...
1. Naruto and Sasuke stopped running, and were not even going their full speed when they were, in order to look at Sakura who was behind them, and that leap :lol that is basic ninja speed which has been seen by almost every shinobi in PART 1...
2. That "dot" that Sakura was in the panel, wasn't even a dot it was much bigger than a dot and also about Sasuke and Naruto not being within the blast radius, they really were...

If you are referring to the Chunin Exams he would not have died even after Oro locked his seal because Kurama would constantly supply chakra to Naruto. Yes Sasuke might have died though after the Curse Mark was given to him if Sakura wasn't there to heal him.

Naruto would have also not died in the War Arc because even if he died Obito could use Rinne Tensei on him or better yet save him by placing part of the 1 Tails and the 8Tails to save him. Once again Sakura was not needed

Sakura was needed to save others however Naruto does not need Sakura. Its a manga fact that Sakura needs him and not the other way around.

Sasuke also needs her like for example when Sasuke was fighting Gaara, Gaara was about to go apeshit on his ass but if it were not for Sakura serving out of the decoy Sasuke would have died. Naruto once again saved his teammates ass.
