[Discussion] Characters with saddest backstory?

Soo from the "main" ones.

I really think it must be Robin,Brook or Law.

Robin one was very sad,I got very emotional on that one.Got me really really hard.

Brook when they sang the song...whoa I was out at that moment.

Law is sad too.Seeing his "father" died in "front' of his eyes.Horrible.

Nami is sad also.Seeing her mother dead in front of her eyes.

What do u think and why? Which one got u emotional?

if by "Main" u mean strawhats then its Robin hands down. Chopper past didnt make me cry but the death of Hiluluk did (I hope u get what i mean).

Overall, though, Law, Koala and Tiger story struck me as very deep as it represented the wretched society and the utter powerlessness of the victims mentioned to try and stop it. As Eustass Kid very correctly said "We're pirates. Atleast we admit we're evil." Truer words hv never been spoken

Brooke was the saddest for me anime wise. That song hit home.

In the manga it was Nico Robin hands down.

Yeah, but for me Nami's was really touching. To think of ur self as a burden to the woman (person u love the most) who raised u and to have that woman rather die than deny u as her family. Later Nami forced herself to work for the same ppl that killed her mother (was also abused and nothing more that a slave) all for the faint hope that she could by back her town and in the end she had it all torn away from her. :NO:

Brook's death is definitely the saddest. Sending off his best friends to die from an illness, watching everybody that he loved die around him from poisoning and then spending 50 years alone with only dreams of his crew and the five of those years with no shadow.
