Characters who were killed by plot

There are many people who i can list but i'll go with PAIN.
Naruto's talk no jutsu at that time was not good . Like it was not convincing that Nagato just believed in him just like that .
At least the time Naruto TNJ Obito , his words were good but Nagato one was pathetic . Kishi could have made Naruto do that to TNJ to Nagato instead

Hunter x hunter death was legit i dont know what you are talking about

She /he was strong yes

But you know gon trained over and over (the training took a lot of screentime)

If it was any typical shounin manga when the plot no jutsu work


Gon would have beat the king (the boss villain in that arc)

Yet with all his training he only beat the king gaurd

Umm, Netero himself said that Neferpitou might have been stronger than him. Colt also said that Netero couldn't even compare to the Royal Guards. So essentially, Gon became as strong as Netero with just a little training? Don't forget, his Nen was sealed off by Kunckle for quite a fair bit so he couldn't have trained his Nen. If anything, it was more of Gon going rage-mode against Pitou and therefore having his power amplified many times.

But Gon paid the price for going berserk in such a manner I guess it all works out. I didn't like how he recovered though. It was too easy.

In all honesty, the King's death in HxH was also due to plot. Netero got stomped by the King even though he was going all out, and the King wasn't really taking it seriously at all. I guess since Netero was the strongest hunter alive at that point of time, it was necessary for the King to somehow die for the plot to progress.

Itachi had TB and Minato's reaction times leave something to be desired.

Yep, that means every character who died did so because of plot.

if RIN lives then there was no TOBI , no WAR and minato wasn't killed by obito hence naruto's didnt struggled in his whole life U_U

Technically, every character that was ever killed off was done so by the plot. Whether they were meant to be killed in battle or by external cause (in the middle of battle), it's all the author's intention, man.

And I know what you meant, just in case you intend to address that after reading this lol

Most plot-kills are to advance the power level of another character, allowing the plot to advance & showing that a character has increased in strength. (hence why they are called plot kills).

Itachi - Sasuke grew stronger
Asuma - Shikamaru grew stronger
Asuma (second time) - Choji grew stronger
Kakazu - Showed how naruto had improved
Jiraiya - Naruto grew some nuts
Nagato - Naruto's nuts got a little bit bigger
Diedara - Sasuke grew stronger
Danzo - Sasuke grew stronger
Shikaku/Inoichi - Shikamaru/Ino grew up

Other Plot deaths are just to show off power levels / allow the story to change direction...

4th Hokage / Kushina - Wouldn't even be an anime/manga if they had lived
3rd Hokage / Orochimaru - To show Oro's power level & Allowed Oro to fade into the background, and let the Akatsuki step forward as the main enemies.
Gaara - First ever battle of the Akatsuki. Used to show how powerful they are
Chiyo - Just to bring back one of the fan favourites.
Yugito - Introduce Hidan & Kakazu and show how powerful they are.
Konan - To show just how powerful Tobi is
Neji - To show the reader that war is cruel.
