I don't read the manga because of my faves. I read it as a whole :| But i understand the question.
Tsunade, Onoki and Naruto were the ones who kept me truly interested in the war, wanting to know what would happen to them next.
The rest of my faves were all dead by that time. Oro's ressurection and Hiruzen being summoned as an Edo happened halfway through.
