Are any of you bothered by the fact that some characters (mainly Tsunade, Karin, Nagato, and Kimimaro) are known to come from a certain clan, but they aren't referred to with their clan's last name?
For example: Tsunade is known to come from the Senju clan, and it has been stated A MILLION times that the first hokage, Hashirama SENJU, is her grandfather, so what's the harm in calling her Tsunade Senju? It's not like the members of a clan have different last/family names. I don't know why, but it really bothers me. I mean, it's not like we're ever gonna hear something like "Kakashi Hatake was a member of the Senju clan" or "Karin (random last name) was a member of the Uzumaki clan" because we know that all members of a clan have one last name. The same goes with Kimimaro of the Kaguya clan, and Nagato/Karin of the Uzumaki clan. I get that if they had been referred to as Nagato Uzumaki or Karin Uzumaki from the start, everyone would have been like WTF, but now that we know what happened to the Uzumaki clan, why aren't they referred as Uzumakis? I mean I guess it is possible that their mothers were the Uzumaki clan members, but still. I have a real problem with Kimimaro (even though he's dead) not having the last name Kaguya because WE KNOW that his father was a member of the clan too, and if I remember correctly, he was THE LEADER of the clan. Like i said, idk, it just bothers me. I like to refer to Tsunade as Tsunade Senju, and Karin/Nagato with the last name Uzumaki because it just makes sense to me. What do you guys think?
