If everyone's gonna have their closing complaints before the series ends, here aere mine.
First off, Team 7's character development has been great, especially Naruto's.
Kishi did a great job story telling throughout the manga and explaining the hardships certain individuals went through. But here's where I'm disappointed.
The character development as of pt. 2, and mainly starting after the middle of the series.
I was very disappointed with the development with Rock Lee, Neji, and Ten Ten. That team in general was a big part of pt 1, and even in pt 2 finding the hideout. But then they just fell off the face of the earth.
Rock Lee specifically was disappointing. After the Gaara and Lee fight back in pt 1 I had high expectations with what they could do with his character, but besides a few decent actions during the war arc he's dropped off to no more than a low jonin level nin. Neji was another. His death was a bit stupid and as the strongest of the genin entering the chunnin exams, he fell off too. And with the byakugan and their clan not being fleshed out much, it left a little to be desired. Ten Ten i never cared too much for, but they randomly made her able to use those spirit tools, and left it kind of hanging once they were spit out during the Juubi arc.
I do think they did a great job with the Ino-shika-cho team.
Kiba's team was also a disappointment. Shino was one of the coolest characters in pt 1. The guy never technically lost a match and then seemed fairly useless in pt 2, all together. Kiba being Naruto's biggest rival outside of sasuke never really got built on. he just whined a lot after he got lost in the dust of the rest of the ninja. Hinata hasn't done much in any sense besides motivating Naruto in a couple big battles.
I Liked that Konohamaru had a little shining moment in the pain arc, but he wasn't even shown in the war arc if i remember correctly. Kind of a bummer.
Iruka's actual ninja prowess was never really shown. i feel like he became a chunnin the same way shika did, probably showed some leadership quality, but honestly i feel like he's no more skilled a ninja than I am..lol
I'm sure I've missed some stuff, and this isn't to day I don;t still love the series.
Ive been following it since '03 and it's about time it ended, but like everything else there were things that could have done better.
That's it for my two cents.
Anoyone disagree? Agree? Poll!
