Ok, I'll to explain in a simplistic manner so that you all can understand.
Example A
"I don't like Kisame because all he can use is water"
Example B
"Kisame is a dumb **** he doesn't know *** and is a stupid moron. He should never have been in the manga to start with,. And all those who like Kisame are "$#$$##@££€€ and £@€§&/&%(1! They should all burn in hell!"
Now, following me? I hope so. Example A is well whithin the rules. Its a simple case of expressing your opinion on a character. Now, Example B is nothing more than Character Bashing, which isn't allowed. In NB we allow everyone to express their opinions on anything naruto related. We do, however, expect our members to have a certain level of manners and education that will provide for a correct and nice community to all. Since we aren't your parents we cannot educate you on how to properly convey your opinions. We can, however, make sure that such behavior is reported so it can be corrected by having it as part of the global rules of the community and of "what not to do in NB", so to speak.
Character bashing is expressing your opinion towards a character in an offensive way which leads often to flames. By replying and conveying your opinion in such an aggressive manner you are indeed "expecting" to ignite flames. Such behavior is chidlsih and moronic in its essence and as such is to be avoided. Thus why character bashing is against the rules.
Character idolizing or divinization is a weird and somewhat "strange" behavior which often turns out to be nothing more than a trolling behavior. However, because its not negative in nature it doesn't harm the community as a whole. Saying a character is god and amazing and what not is not offensive. It may be delusional to others that look at it, but not offensive. Thus why its not against the rules. The moment it starts to harm the community is the moment action is taken towards it. As it is its nothing more than fanitism or fan-love in a more extreme level. Note that i'm talking about such threads that idolize a character in a non trolling, non spamming way. I'm not speaking about obvious trolling or otherwise rule infringing behavior. These tend to be just that and are readily and quickly managed.
What you do need to understand is that the rules are there to provide a certain level of serinity and safety (metaphorical) to all members. We cannot make everyone happy but we can make it so that one's happiness cannot be attained by anothers anger or grievance. Expressing your opinion in a decent, proper, nice manner is within the rules. Doing so in a bashfull, hatefull, idiotic, moronic and offensive way is not. We are long pass the time of cave men and we do not want a community of cave people. So learn to respect eachother and discuss things in a mature way. Simple as that.
