Ren sat back, and looked at his work. Today there was an emergency Congress meeting - or, in the very least, there was supposed to be an emergency Congress meeting - in New York City. Very unorthodox, the same event had not happened since the country's founding. It was called together to discuss the economy. But it had all been organized by an outside force. It had all been Ren. Being famous political figures, major diplomats were easy targets. He simply had to write down their names and recall their face or - at worst - look them up on Google and look at their faces. 100 Men and women, with at least two guards each. Of course, he would have chosen the guards. No need to let anyone get away. The President and Vice President were out of the country; not a problem for Ren to worry about.
The Shinigami cam in through Ren's apartment window.
"... You did this in such a short time?"
"Of course. What did you expect?"
"Well, I guess I could expect nothing less from you." The Shinigami looked at Ren with dissatisfaction.
"What's your problem?" Ren questioned bitterly.
"... Nothing. Nothing at all." The Shinigami took out a bag of potatoe chips - which he apparently been saving for later - and ate them greedily.
Lightning flashed outside the window, and rain began to fall. Ren put on his blazer and a coat, then re-opened the window, putting the note book in his pocket.
"It's time to go."
The clock ticked. It was exactly 11 o'clock. In one hour, the entire Senate and all their guards would die of a heart attack. Ren walked down the block, time slowly ticking away. 11:01. 11:02. 11:03. Soon enough, it was 11:50. He had walked seemingly nowhere for hours. 11:51. 11:52. 11:53. 54. 55. 56. 57. 58. 59.
A scream broke through the rain, followed by a loud clap of thunder. Less than two blocks away at the United Nations, men and women screamed, terrified, as one by one each person in the room began to die, each of a heart attack. The doors had been locked for security purposes. No one noticed a vase in the center of the room an a table filled with exactly thirteen black roses, and a note that had the following inscription:

I shall be known by the world. They will all know my name. And my name is Forte.
