~Chapter Six ~
"Wait a moment," Mitsuki cut in, "Brother?"
"Hell yeah i'm that brat's brother and never more have I wanted to rip him to shreds." Even though he had a ghastly mask on, anyone could tell how evil his smile was. The temperature had dropped rapidly, giving off an eerie feeling to Mitsuki; it gave her goosebumps.
"I'm sorry." Emori stepped forward, "I'm afraid that I can't let you do that to Junsuke. Now stand and fight - but most of all - prepare to die." Emori's brave words disgusted his enemy's partner.
'How the hell can anyone be so cocky?' He thought, 'I swear if I weren't under orders I would-'
His thoughts were interrupted when the two charged at eachother. With a sword each, same skill and stamina - this would be anyone's win.
Emori ripped the sword out of its sheath and in one motion ducked and swiped his sword at the enemy's waist. Junsuke's brother vanished and materialised behind him, holding a sword to his neck.
"Damn it you're fast," Emori puffed, already tired from the battle."
"I've had practice," he smirked, breathing heavily.
Emori laughed - laughed and laughed and laughed. He laughed so hard it would seem unhealthy. Junsuke's brother was taken aback by his laughter. In the moment he was about to die, he would laugh his head off - his parents were right when they talked to him before he had killed them - he is a crazy freak.
Before anyone knew what was happening, an enormous puff of malodorous smoke surrrounded them. They were being attacked by yet another enemy.
Emori had to do what his instinct told him. He ran away. He just simply took Junsuke in his arms, guided Mitsuki out of the smoke and when the smoke cleared, it was just the two teams of rogues left to fight to the death.
Panting hard, Emori stopped deep inside the forest - far away from their enemies. He collapsed onto the soft grass, out of breath and yawned. It was a tiring day for him and he felt like he could just die. He looked over to Mitsuki, who was cheking if Junsuke was alright. He had never seen Mitsuki smile before. It was as sweet as honey, and as lovely as silk. It made him feel warm inside like...
Like family.
Usually he would have killed his "friends" by now, but there was something about her that made an exception, yet he did not know why.
"How was that for an adventure?" Emori smiled, trying to keep his hidden confusion inside of him.
