Sakura: Why did I have to be on the same team as that knucklehead! He’s always screwing up everything!
Naruto: HEY! I DON’T SCREW UP EVERYTHING!
Sasuke: Would you guys stop it?
Sakura: *Sweetly. * I’m sorry Sasuke-kun, but Naruto is inadequate for this team. Especially if you’re on it.
Naruto: I DON’T HAVE TO TAKE ORDERS FROM YOU! DATEBAYO!
You sighed and gave Kakashi the “I told you so” look.
Kakashi: I know, I know you warned me. Stripes don’t go with dots and the black sock stays out of the way.
You: Exactly. Let me try to settle them down.
You sigh and take a step forward and get a mean face on.
You: Guys! I’ve seen little preschoolers act more mature than this! Is this seriously how you’re going to act when you’re on a life-threatening mission?! You’ve got some serious work to do; you have definitely failed the impression part of today! Why don’t you introduce yourself like civilized people and not the barbarians you are right now!
Sakura looked hurt and Naruto had a dirty look on his face. Sasuke was ignoring the urge to either thank you or glare at you. You stepped back to Kakashi and he silently thanked you.
Kakashi: As you can see, the most mature one has taken control. I don’t want my team to consist of only one good member and the rest fighting within the team. Now, please tell me your name, your likes and dislikes and what you wish to accomplish in life. Why don’t you go first? *Points at Naruto. *
Naruto: I’M NARUTO UZUMAKI! I LIKE RAMEN AND I DON’T LIKE SASUKE! I’M GOING TO BE THE GREATEST HOKAGE EVER! DATEBAYO!
You: *Mutters.* You’ll certainly be the loudest…
Kakashi: Alright, good goal. You? *Sasuke.*
Sasuke: I’m Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and don’t particularly like anything. I don’t have any dreams but I do have a goal and that is to kill a certain man.
Kakashi: “I knew it.” Pinky.
Sakura: My name is Sakura Haruno! I like Sasuke and I don’t like Naruto and My dream is to be married to Sas-!
Kakashi: Yeah, great. Last but not least. You.
You: Hey, I’m Ren. I like to be active, I can’t be lazy for very long. I don’t like a lot of things, especially stuck up people who think they’re better than everyone else. My dream is complicated but it’s to finish a mission before it takes over my life. Oh, and to own a wolf someday. I love wolves...
Kakashi: Okay! Well, I’m Kakashi Hatake, I like reading, and I don’t like not reading. My dream is to finish this book soon! Now, the first thing we’ll do today is a starter mission to see where everyone is. Your mission today is simple yet difficult. You need to catch the bells from me before noon. The prize? Lunch. There are two bells so all of you will have to work to get one. If you fail you go back to the academy!
Naruto: AH JEEZ! I DIDN’T COME THIS FAR JUST TO BE SENT BACK! DATEBAYO!
Kakashi: I can send you back right now if you want?
Naruto: Nah thanks. I’ll be quiet now.
Sakura: “Cha, Naruto quiet? That isn’t going to last very long.”
Kakashi: You will have to chase me down. Starting in three, two, and one.
Naruto went after Kakashi right after and Kakashi caught him. Naruto stabbed him with a kunai but it was a clone. The other two were already in hiding.
You: “I knew it.”
You headed off to another direction, jumping through the trees you saw Kakashi watching the three intensely, but he was still moving because he knew you were there.
Kakashi: Catch me if you can!
You: I will!
You were flipping over branches and almost falling through the trees. You had a wild grin on your face, Naruto and Sakura were not there. Sasuke was still hiding.
Over with Sakura, she saw Sasuke down by the posts. He was down and bleeding from the multiple kunais in his body. She was in hysterics right next to him.
Sakura: Why did this happen?! I’m going to try and get you healed!
Sasuke: Sakura,
Sakura: Y-yes, Sasuke?
Sasuke: You fell for it.
Then he disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Sakura was in awe and then she started to smack herself while she tried to catch up.
Meanwhile, Naruto was throwing kunais horribly at Kakashi and Sasuke was running as fast as he could. You honestly didn’t care, but you knew what to do. You just didn’t know if they were going to be willing to cooperate. You looked at the town clock and saw it was 11:49 and you sighed.
You: *Yells. * Guys! Don’t you think we should probably work together on this? We’ve been chasing him for fifty minutes and all we’re doing is wasting time!
Naruto: DO YOU HAVE A PLAN?
You: No! I was think we could come up with one in the process of joining together!
Naruto: THEN NO! THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THIS EXERCISE IS TO SEE WHO IS STRONGEST, DATEBAYO! AND BESIDES, I’M NOT TEAMING UP WITH THAT SNOTTY LOSER, SASUKE!
Sasuke: There’s no way I’d willingly team up with a loser like you Naruto! So we have nothing to worry about!
You: WHATEVER! WOULD YOU GUYS JUST STOP ARGUING?!
You were a little irritated by Naruto’s statements, so you decided you weren’t going to help him in either way unless if you were forced by Kakashi himself.
Kakashi: “I thought they were going to get me if they joined up!”
You: “I need to do something! It’s 11:55 and no one is any closer than we were 15 minutes ago!” Would somebody just catch the guy already! This is getting boring!
Then, Sasuke took a shuriken and threw it at Kakashi and he pinned a bell to the nearest tree. You noticed that Naruto was not with you anymore.
You: Thank you.
Kakashi: Guess again! *Chuckles.*
He busted into smoke and you growled and muttered some ugly things under your breath.
You: God dammit.
Sasuke: Let’s go back to the starting point.
You two walked solemnly back to the starting point and there was Naruto tied to a stump with the food in front of him.
Sakura: Oh Sasuke-kun! I’m so glad you’re ok! *Hugs Sasuke.*
Sasuke: Get your hands off me.
Sakura: *retracts embarrassed.* S-sorry, Sasuke-kun.
Naruto: You ass hole, Kakashi! You tricked me!
Kakashi: Maybe you should be more observant. You all failed because none of you could get the bells. Sakura, if Naruto got stabbed right in front of you, you would be more concerned if Sasuke was alive. Naruto, you were too focused on proving yourself. Sasuke, you thought that all three of them would just bring you down. Ren, you had the right idea but you need to do less talking about what the others need to do and more helping them accomplish it! But I will give you all another chance after lunch. Three of you can eat but neither of you can give any food to Naruto. If you do, you fail.
Naruto: THAT’S UNFAIR DATEBAYO!
Kakashi: Yes, but it’s what you get for trying to steal the food. I’ll be back in half an hour.
He left, you three sat down, Sakura offered to share with you but you weren’t hungry. Sooner or later Sasuke, without looking, gave Naruto the food tray.
Sasuke: If he doesn’t eat he’ll drag us down.
Sakura took the chance of a fail and followed Sasuke’s actions. Kakashi came out from behind a tree and looked pissed!
Kakashi: You guys!
You could feel it. The cold room and you could hear the boring lectures.
Kakashi: Pass! Well done!
Naruto: Hmmm? But they gave me food?
Kakashi: Sometimes, bending the rules for a comrade is ok. Like now. Ok tomorrow we start missions. You can go home now. This spot same time tomorrow.
He waved and walked away, he knew you’d catch up later.
You: Nice job, Sasuke. Apparently there is a brain under that dark mysterious personality.
Sasuke: Tch. Is that supposed to be a compliment?
You: Maybe.
You waved and Sakura nagged about how unprofessional it was that he shows up late and leaves early, and how unorganized his training was today. And bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla. The three of you took a seat on a stump and just sat there in silence. Sasuke was standing.
You: *Smiles.* I think that’s it for today. I’m gonna head over to the training grounds. Uh, Sakura where would these be?
Sakura: *twists head and flips hair over shoulder.* They are over there and there’s another over there.
She pointed to the direction of the park and then right behind it. You smiled and waved.
You: Thanks!
Sakura said goodbye to Sasuke who just stood there against a tree lost in his thoughts. You turned around and headed to the training ground just before the park. There were padded towers and targets and all kinds of things that could potentially help you get stronger. You chose to work on your speed and power and walked over to the one-padded towers and started to beat the crap out of it. It was making your hands hurt after a while. While switching to kicks, you thought you heard the branches move. You ignored it and kept kicking. After a few rounds of serious roundhouses, you heard the wood buckle.
You: “I think I should stop now before I end up having to pay for something. Let’s take a break.”
You found a tree and sat against it and tried to catch your breath. You looked up and saw something in the tree. It was way too big to be a bird or squirrel, but there were no monkeys in Konoha. So you got up and got a better look and chuckled out loud.
You: Well, what’s up Uchiha?
Sasuke: It’s about time. You’re either really that ignorant, or you were too absorbed in your training to notice me. I gave away so many hints.
You: *Smirks* Chakra sensing isn't a strong point for me. What are you watching me for anyway?
Sasuke: I wanted to check out your skills. You’re pretty good. I’ve never seen anyone almost break a training tower.
You: Thank you. Well the only question left is, would you like to join?
Sasuke: I’ve actually got somewhere to be right now, maybe some other time.
You: Alright then, see you tomorrow.
Sasuke: Bye.
Then he disappeared in the darkness of the trees.
Sauske: “She didn’t go crazy on me. I’m somewhat impressed.”
You stopped training at about 5 and headed home, you were exhausted. Kakashi was already home and reading on the couch like last time.
Kakashi: Hey, Ren. How was the rest of your day?
You: Tiring, I went to the training posts and now I’m extremely tired. So I’m just gonna head into the shower and
hopefully, I’ll make it to my bed.
Kakashi: *Laughs quietly.* Alright then. Don’t pass out.
You: I’ll try!
You dragged yourself to the shower and somehow went ten minutes without knowing what was going on. You stepped out and dried off then changed into some random pajamas and collapsed into bed.
Sleeping that night felt great, no bad dreams plagued you.
At seven o’clock you woke up and changed, then brushed your teeth, then cooked breakfast all in one monotonous expression on your face. At training all that was done was that Kakashi was seeing where you were in your skills. You scored pretty well, you were only slightly better than Sasuke, only because you knew how to walk on water, scale the tree, and your aim was pretty impressive.
Kakashi: For being from where you are from it’s impressive. I haven’t seen an ANBU throw that well, it’s like it comes naturally to you. Nice job.
Naruto, well he was okay. He was better than Sakura who didn’t seem to know anything, yet she passed all of her tests.
Kakashi: I can work with you on improving your techniques and all that. I suggest you go to the practice fields after training about twice every week.
Sakura: Yes, sensei.
Sasuke was pretty good, after all he was from the prided Uchiha clan!
Kakashi: You’re pretty good, Sasuke. Just work on your control so that you don’t over exert yourself on every single fight.
Sasuke: Yes, sensei.
Everybody went to work and improvement was in sight.
