Kishimoto actually canceled the manga after spilling mayonnaise on his work, ruining the pages of the final chapters.
He said it was too much effort to go back and redo it all, so he's not going to.

Some rumors are going around that it's an "early" release and that it will also have like 5-8 more pages than usual (probably because he needs it at this point to finish the story without rushing it even more). However, I'm not holding my breath with this and I'm expecting it to come out on early Thursday morning, but with the extra pages since that seems highly likely. Ira has put the spoiler pages up now, so I guess everyone is pretty sure it's coming out soon.

For me, it's about 11:15 right now, and usually the Naruto stuff comes out at about 5-6am for me. Either way, it comes out early.

They're reputable, the last few times we've had holidays they've gotten it right, and even stated the week after that the chapter's coming out on Thursday, as it does.


By the way, what holiday is it anyway? I'm pretty new to the manga scene, but is it always like this at this time of year? Or do these holidays all happen to be falling on Mondays this year?

Thanks for the release info, but i doubt it's going to be one of those 40+ page chapters that people tend to think it will be.
