I prefer to see it as a clean retcon for a smooth flow of narrative. And did we get it from the first episode. chapter 700 is clearly an epilogue, telling us the fates of the characters. And chap700 wasnt even definite in its timeline. Did it happen before or after the movie? See, simple arits's interpretation
