Now that Sasuke is irrelevant to the current battleground where the Shinju is and people affected by the Mugen Tsukuyomi, who can dispel it? The answer came last chapter. Madara. He was betrayed, he has the Rinnegan and it was his genjutsu to start with. It stands to reason he would know how to undo it. Because, frankly I really doubt the Hagormo spirit/chakra could do that.

Lol Madara did what he did for peace, not being a "badass". Is trying to bring peace being a "badass"? That's all he was trying to do. Now that he was betrayed and his plan for peace turned out to be all a lie like he wasn't convinced before. If he does return, he's more than likely to help end the MT and bring down Black Zetsu and Kaguya.
