Yeah I didn't like the way Sai was portrayed... such a tool in this chapter.
Anyway, Sakura's slug is almost definitely not Katsuyu. 1) Sakura would be distraught if she had learnt of Tsnuade's death. 2) Katsuyu is bigger than the slug Sakura summoned. 3) If Tsunade does die, it will most likely be an on screen death.

As for Ten Ten and Lee... They're probably being avoided because Kishi can't be asked to characterise them with Neji's death in mind.

And as I have said its easily possible it isn't Katsuyu, but to get the Kage on the battlefield it would make sense. And Tsunade would deffinatly have an on screen death....Katsuyu being summoned would be the trigger to switchig panels to see whst she's doing.
