Chapter 601 felt different

This probably has no meaning but has anyone else noticed how "dark" chapter 601 felt?
I mean, yea Naruto's has some pretty gruesome moments, but for some reason it really
seems like Madara, is a ball of hatred.

Yea the manga did seem a bit more dark. Even though it's an anime it seriously pissed me off. The Gokage are basicly dead until next chapter and Madara is beyond OP. Sorta like you could foreshadow the death of Kakashi and Gai and the sealing of the Kyuubi and Hachibi. Kishi completely flipped the switch and said fuq all that protagonist hero theme bs, it's time for chaos and lost hope.

Yeah it seemed dark because the kages were half dead and tsunade literally in half lol wordplay. And also obitos body at the end of the chapter was all messed up in bandages and some kind of surgical pins an then theres an extremely old madara i assume its madara.

I'm not much of a person who likes the dark mood in fiction whenmits not needed, but since there is a war going on, I like the darker tone the manga seemed to take in thismchapter. Hopefully it will continue.

Well you have the 5 Kages bleeding out, and one is literally in half. You have the two strongest enemies working together against one of the strongest squads left on the Shinobi Force. As long as this stays a war, I hope it keeps being dark like this.
