*In the panel after Obito sees off the old woman, his hair is light-coloured.
*Despite the fact that Hiruzen Sarutobi was seemingly the Hokage at that time, Minato Namikaze's face was etched into the Hokage Mountain, despite the fact that it was not there during the Kakashi Gaiden chapters, which took place some time after the events in this chapter.
*Another error consisting from time line inconsistency, is in regards to many Academy students and Chūnin Exams participants being grouped and set against each other, despite many not yet being graduated from the Academy at that time, such as Asuma Sarutobi, Anko Mitarashi, Kurenai Yūhi, Hayate Gekkō and Might Guy, among others.
*An additional, related, mistake is that Kakashi Hatake has been shown to be promoted into a chūnin with the whole Team Minato taking part in the exams, despite that he was stated to have attained the rank of chūnin at the age of six, back when his team-mates were still Academy students. :sy::sy::sy:
