People are so amazed by this Izanami but little do they know it took like what? more then 3 chapters to just activate it, Itachi is an Edo which means he can't be killed. The real Itachi would've been killed before he could active it.

It was activated before he was sliced in half. Observe correctly or don't talk. Besides Itachi already planned things ahead. Itachi is on a different level than any other Character in Naruto (No one can deny that), it's like he said EVERY jutsu has a weakness and every Shinobi has its weaknesses with that in the back of his mind Itachi can beat anyone since he's always prepaired when fighting someone, he never overrushes things, is always calm and observes his opponent and situation. Itachi is by far the best.

Oh uhm remember when Itachi said ONLY AN UCHIHA MEMBER can kill me.
