Did you notice how Boruto magically mastered that absorption ability when he couldn’t even do it a couple chapters back when Kawaki blasted him? Sure he did it subconsciously protecting Konohamaru but to do it willingly...Idk about that one chief.

My thoughts were it activated after he held a seal and then they hit him/touched him with a jutsu/body. That is why the two of them were affected by the mist, while Sarada and Mitsuki weren't. Even though they were within the mist, what do you think?

I’m not a fan of Sarada but she already has the 3T sharingan. She definitely has potential as long as she isn’t restricted to just brute strength while forfeiting ninjutsu. She should’ve also been able to see Boro as he hid behind rocks since the sharingan has x-ray vision, but she wasn’t keeping it on consistently for some reason (plot).

You’re more than likely correct. The only thing I noticed after first reading the chapter was Boro seemed to use handsigns to heal, which was shown when he negated Mitsuki’s snake venom. Perhaps those other times he weaved the signs were to prepare himself to be able to recover from the blunt force for Kawaki’s and Boruto’s attacks.

But your theory makes sense since after Boro negated Mitsuki’s venom, the Mist magically appeared around Mitsuki.
