The children were laughing. It was the time of Harvest's End and Whiterun was decorated beautifully.
Inside the temple, about five children were busy chattering about their families and their valuable house collections. Each spoke with pride and spirit to their father's bravery and accomplishments. The youngest one, Sera, had twinkles in her eyes. She spoke with a merry tune, slightly pitchy- amusing quite a lot of people. When they giggled, she would storm away furiously and disappear for hours till her parents had to tell the guards and the searching would go for hours. Thank the Divines, no such thing has happened today! Sera had an elder brother, the second one in the little party, named Siddhant. While Sera may be the brightest, Sid gave his parents a lot to worry about. He was shy and particularly pessimistic about anything other than normal. Quite a contrast.
As for our protagonist, Kane, very little could be said.
The son of Master Arangar, a Greybeard, had never quite known fatherhood. "He left as soon as you arrived Tamriel" was all they said. There were always questions, fingers and opinions to be dealt by him. The conversation wasn't what he was looking forward to but a noble child never lets his weakness harm his bonds. His fair skin and rough ebony black hair hadn't had the company of his soothing smile.
"He has become a big boy" said Kahn, one of the priests who had overlooked his birth. He has really become big, and so soon.
"Well, well, where is the birthday boooy!?", screamed someone at the door. Lady Kyra had entered and everyone surrounded Kane and carried him to the table where feast was set. Sera quickly picked a spot and sat down, eyeing the food hungrily and letting out a small "ooh". Everyone laughed again and settled.
From far, a hooded figure watched all of this. It was dark outside and the cloak was black, too. Nobody had seen him surprisingly. The ethereal figure visible to only those seeking it. Priest Kahn nodded at the figure and smiled.
The blood of a greybeard and dragon-slayer flows in the veins of the timid boy. It is only a matter of time... But let celebrate today, as Dovahkiin has turned to a ripe 16 years of age!
Unknown of anything around, Kane feasted with his friends; laughing and singing to the tunes of happiness of youth at the temple where he was born.

So yeah,my first a pretty short chapter like my Prologue but it will get bigger and better as the plot develops, I promise.
I hope you all liked it though nothing much was to be seen. The story is pretty long so keep the support and constructive criticism coming.
