Okay so with Lebron James announcing where hes going to sign tonight, I just can't help but wonder whats going to happen. Reports now are saying its almost a sure in for him to sign with Miami. Now the top 4 teams to sign him were Cleveland, Chicago, New York and Miami.

I don't think he has anything to fear from Chicago. Once Wade and Bosh signed in Miami there was no chance that Chicago was getting him.

But Cleveland and New York are going to FLIP. If he made his decision like a normal person he wouldn't piss anyone off. It would be like "Whatever, its his decision." But not, he has to hold an hour long special on ESPN and make a huge ass deal about it. So heres why he has to worry.

New York: Its f***ing New York City. Half the city is INSANE. The city has been thinking for years that come 2010, Lebron would be a Knick. He loved to be in New York, he had tons of friends from New York and he partied hard in New York. Then he announces the hour long special is going to be in Greenwich, a short drive away. Coincidence? New Yorkers certainly didn't think so....So here we are, Lebron is about to piss off a couple million already angry, mobsters/psychos/drunks/idiots/guidos.

Cleveland: Now this is the scarier city of the two in this situation. Their sports history is a sad sad joke that was supposed to be brought to the promised land by Lebron. I think of it this way. Cleveland was that really odd kid in high school that didn't really have any friends, was real quiet, and everyone sort of knew was a little crazy, you know, one more thing was going to push them over the edge and they were going to lose it. Then came along Lebron, the most popular guy in school and all of a sudden he asks her out. The best day in that girl's life. They're together for a while, things are going great. Cleveland thinks they may end up getting married, spend the rest of their lives together even. And then it happens. One day he just decides to go, on national television no less! This is where Cleveland SNAPS. Straight killing spree guaranteed.

I wouldn't want to be in Cleveland tonight......

Cavs owner is NOT a happy camper.

At least this prick won't be known as the one who surpassed Jordan.

Okay I just got a chance to listen to Lebron being asked about the decision and leaving Cleveland, and I couldn't believe the ego on him. How many times did he say things like "What 'I' gave for them", "How hard 'I' played", "What 'I' did for the city", "What 'I' did for the franchise". What about what they did for you Lebron? I've never seen a news conference where a guy was so full of himself.

I'm not even a Cleveland fan and this whole thing pissed me off.

I'm happy for LeBron, he made the decision that benefits him the most.

At the end of the day the Cavaliers would have gotten rid of LeBron James eventually. Brett Favre, one of the most famous football players ever, was dumped by the GB Packers when he still wanted to play and then they didn't even respect him enough to let him decide on his own, they traded him. Ken Griffey Jr., my favorite baseball player ever, was forced to retire by a team he spent the majority of his career with. Even Micheal Jordan had problems with the Chicago Bulls before he left a second time. So you can say LeBron abandoned the team, but there are many teams that abandoned players.

What they did for LeBron?!?
Can you name one thing a team has done for a player other than retire his number? The trades they weren't for James they were so the team can win a championship. Most of the time it is the player that does the giving and the team that does the taking.

Anyway, a dynasty has been built in Miami! What a powerhouse, I wonder if they win 70+ games. xd

Didn't say I wished it, just saying he just pissed off a shit ton of people. Obviously I don't wish he gets killed.....

And really I wouldn't care if he just left Cleveland, but the manner he did it in was ridiculous. What superstar has ever had an hour long special on ESPN to announce their free agency signing, before even telling their old team?! Its absurdly unprofessional.

Eh....he started off in Cleveland, so the New York comment is off....

And it is his life and his decision, and he absolutely should have made the decision that made him happy. I'm guessing you didn't follow the situation closely though. Because the way he handled it shows a complete LACK of respect for his fans.

Seems Cleveland and Miami worked out a sign and trade for Lebron, so Cleveland has some hope yet. They get two first rounders and two second rounders, thought not for a few years. Still its good to see they get something. Before that it seemed that they were done for a long time. But now they have some hope and chances for a good future.

I don't know a lot about NBA free agency / sign and trades, but does it require the consent of the player? I would think it does considering the player has to sign with the former team first, right? If so, Lebron salvaged a bit of respect from this whole thing. He didn't leave Cleveland completely dead. It makes me wonder if he had any idea of what he was doing during this whole situation.

The sign and trade actually has nothing to do with giving Cleveland hope and they really don't have any. Without LeBron the Cavs are really nothing. No wonder he left, the team is not suited to win a championship. When Micheal Jordan left the Bulls for the first time, the Bulls were still a really good team and almost made it to the finals if it wasn't for a young Shaq and the Magic.

The sign and trade probably is so LeBron and Bosh could get the 6th year on their contract. It probably also allows them to sign more players or something like that.
